The east is one of the jewels in the Algarve's crown. And this full day excursion will introduce you to some of its prettiest villages and biggest city. You'll visit Faro, Olhao, Cacela Velha and Tavira and as well as travel through beautiful countryside in the Ria Formosa National Park.It all kicks off in Faro, the regional capital, where you'll have free time to explore the old town – the cathedral is a must-see. Next up is Olhao, a village on the banks of the Ria Formosa. You'll visit its famous fish market and then enjoy free time for lunch and shopping.In the afternoon, we'll visit Cacela Velha. This coastal hamlet with just a handful of whitewashed houses boasts a beautiful church and an old fort overlooking the Atlantic. Afterwards, we'll head to Tavira. See its top sights and visit the castle for a stroll along its ramparts. Cap off the day by dropping into a church for a live show of fado singing – the melancholic music genre that is a national treasure.

Zu wenig Zeit, zu viele Stationen. Nur eine Stunde Faro ist ein schlechter Witz. Du hast nur Zeit, um aufs WC zu gehen und einen schnellen Kaffee zu trinken. Zu lange Busfahrten, zu kurze Aufenthalte. Deshalb zu hektisch.

Von der Abholung bis nach Faro (1. Haltepunkt) sind mehr als zwei Stunden vergangen. Der Guide hatte sicher viel zu erzählen, aber da auch alle Informationen mehrsprachig erfolgen mussten, kamen wir nicht voran (dies war mein Eindruck). Es war zu wenig Zeit um sich einen besseren Eindruck über die jeweilige Stadt zu verschaffen; in Tavira waren es zum Schluss kaum 40 Minuten nach dem Fado (der allerdings sehr schön war). Die reine An- und Abfahrtzeit war viel zu lang (mehr als drei Stunden).

Der Trip nach Faro war eine wirklich schöne Erfahrung. Es wurden verschiedene Zwischenstopps gemacht, in denen man 30-90 Minuten Zeit hatte sich unzugucken, nachdem der Guide fertig mit erklären war. Lydia war eine sehr authentische Guidin, die direkt sympathisch und nahbar war.

Leider ist viel Zeit verloren gegangen, um andere Gäste abzuholen. Das ist verlorene Zeit. Z. B. Haben wir morgens bis Faro 2,5 Stunden gebraucht. Und zurück ab Tavira 1,5 Stunden, da der Busfahrer über Landstraße noch bei seinem Unternehmen war. Schade, dass aufgrund der Fahrzeiten wenigerZeit für die Aufenthalte in den Orten bleibt.

Lage des Hotels richtig gut: strandnah, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe Zimmer gut eingerichtet gutes, abwechslungsreiches Verpflegungsangebot Unterhaltung und Animation für jeden etwas der Transfer klappte pünktlich und zuverlässig, auch bei der dazugebuchten Ausflügen
