You’ll visit some of Egypt’s most iconic landmarks, including the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and the treasure-filled Egyptian Museum.After an early start, you’ll arrive in Giza, home to one of Egypt’s seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites. With your expert local guide, you’ll learn about the Great Pyramid of Giza, built for the Pharaoh Cheops, followed by the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Then, stop by the Great Sphinx, carved directly from the bedrock and sitting proudly on the Giza Plateau.After a tasty lunch, you’ll head into central Cairo to visit the world-renowned Egyptian Museum, home to the largest collection of pharaonic artefacts on the planet. It’s absolutely packed with ancient treasures – think glittering jewellery, ancient mummies, and statues that have stood the test of time. Please note that you’ll be able to access the pyramid area, but the entrance fees to go inside the pyramids, Cheops, Mykerinos, and Kefren, are not included. Tickets are limited, need to be bought onside and can’t be guaranteed. If you're planning to go inside, the entrance fee for the Great Pyramid of Cheops is around EGP 1500 for adults and EGP 750 for children under 12. For Mykerinos or Kefren, it’s about EGP 280 for adults and EGP 140 for kids under 12. Just so you know, payment is by credit card only.
Know in advance:
The shared tour option is only available on selected dates, while the private tour runs daily. Private tours for only one person have a minimum age of at least 12 years old. The six-person private group can include up to 15 participants.
You may wish to arrange a take-away breakfast and late dinner with your hotel before the tour.
Pick up starts after midnight and the journey to Cairo takes around six or seven hours
At the museum, feel free to take photos, but please avoid using flash.
Infants aged 0–1 can join for free
A vegetarian meal option is available on site

Whilst it was a very long day (23 hours) it was well organised and the rep was very knowledgeable. The only part of the trip that I felt could have been missed was the visit to the essential oils shop. It was a forced sales pitch which became uncomfortable.

Es war ein schönes erlebnis, nur der Zeitdruk und der kleine Bus hat uns nicht gefallen. Man muß verstehen das man 6 Stunden in diesem Bus sitzt, es war sehr Unbequem. Wir hatten einen größeren Reisebus erwartet. Die Straßen sind sehr holperig. Und man fühlt alles im Bus, wir hatten daher auch die 6 Stunden nicht schlafen können.

Great experience! Had a good length of time at each stop and the pyramids were breathtaking, just be prepared for a very long journey in a small mini bus! Guide was great (mina) felt very safe and learnt a lot from his knowledge.

Ablauf der Abholung war etwas seltsam Busübergabe im Dunkeln im Nichts. Zu wenig Zeit bei den Pyramiden. Der Guide hat fürs Kutschefahren 30€ bekommen und wir haben keine Tickets dafür bekommen. War das wirklich so teuer? Ein Stop in der Papyrus Fabrik war uns nicht vorher bekannt gewesen. Unnötig!!! Genauso eine Nilfahrt! Wir 4 Personen wollten zu den Pyramiden!!!!! Mittagessen war alles kalt.

Het was best aangenaam en ook de gids was leuk, maar precies niet helemaal zuiver. Eerst bij aankomst aan de piramiden zei hij dat we best kopen aan 1 bepaald kraampje omdat ze jou daar niet lastig vallen en je daar de beste prijs zou hebben, maar we betwijfelden dat laatste. Ook mochten we kiezen als we naar het 'papyrus museum' of 'olie/parfum museum' gingen. Dit bleek puur een verkoop te zijn met overpricing... Boottocht op de Nijl was ook duur maar aangenaam en niet verplicht. Verder super!

Absolute Abzocke. Wir haben eine Deutsche Kairo Tour gebucht. Laut Beschreibung Pyramiden, Sphinx, Mittagessen und ägyptisches Museum. Es wurde jedoch noch eine Papyrusfabrik (Nur Verkauf, keine Erklärungen) und eine kostenpflichtige Nilkreuzfahrt angefahren, alle die nicht mitmachen wollten mussten im Bus bleiben, was zur Folge hatte, dass wir mindestens 2h zu spät am Museum waren und nur noch 40 min vor Ort hatten. Es hatte den anschein als ob die Guides sich hier nebenbei was dazuverdienen.

Kairo selbst ist außer dem Museum keinen Besuch wert. Die Pyramiden sind schön anzusehen und auch die Gräber drumherum sind toll. Also so gesehen schon ein schöner Ausflug. Leider ist die Busfahrt hin und zurück nicht gut. Der Bus kaum Beinfreiheit und man sitzt nicht sehr gut, aber sehr gut klimatisiert. Zu beachten ist das es überall und jederzeit Leute gibt die dir etwas anbieten und Trinkgeld haben wollen. Außerdem ist bei dem Essen das Trinken nicht dabei und kostet auch wieder Geld...

What an fantastic day. We made memories that will stay with us forever. With our tour guide who made us feel very safe and told us what to expect throughout the day. We attended a camel ride around the pyramid for a extra £15pp and Nile boat ride for £10pp. Take pound for tipping. 22 hour day!

Ausflug deutlich länger als 18 Stunden, wir waren nach 23 Stunden wieder im Hotel. Einige nicht vorher bekannt Kosten (Kamelreiten, Kutschfahrt und Bootsfahrt auf dem Nil) . Zusätzlicher Stopp in einem Gewürzgeschäft verlängert die Dauer des Ausflugs. Insgesamt war es aber ein sehr interessanter und Erlebnisreicher Tag.

Der Ausflug war unser Highlight im Hurgharda Urlaub!! Anstrengend die Fahrt hin und zurück, aber es war es absolut wert!! Diese Tour wird vom Tourguide Hardy (spricht dt.) gelebt - ohne ihn läuft nichts, er war der Beste!! Hilfsbereit, super freundlich, hat uns alle Extras organisiert. Nehmt extra Geld mit, nicht alles optionales wird kostenfrei angeboten (Kamellreiten, Getränke im Bus, Schifffahrt). Die Pyramiden und die Sphinx sind so atemberaubend! Danke, Hardy für den unvergesslichen Tag!!

Alles war gut organisiert und geleitet. Unser Reiseleiter Ibrahim war sehr kompetent. Es dauerte alles insgesamt aber 23h (nicht 18) und beim Mittagessen waren die Getränke kostenpflichtig und das Restaurant war nicht sehr hygienisch (dreckige Tische). Es gab eine Nilfahrt, die man für 10€ buchen konnte, das war richtig cool. Die anderen Gäste mussten währenddessen allerdings 30min im Bus warten, was sicher nicht so toll für diese war. Es gab immer eine Möglichkeit aufs Klo zu gehen :)

Reisezeit war nicht 18 sondern 22 Stunden. Eine kostenpflichtige Bootstour hat die Reise um 1 Stunde verlängert, die nicht mit wollten musste aussen warten. Die Bustoilette hat furchtbar gerochen. Der Reiseleiter Hadi sowie die Busfahrer und der Sicherheitsmann waren sehr nett. Hadi hat uns sehr gut geführt, viel interessantes erzählt und und tolle Fotopunkte gezeigt.

Museossa kierrokseen oli ehdottomasti varattu liian vähän aikaa, paljon jäi sielä näkemättä. Kierroksen lopuksi meidät vietiin parfyymikauppaan mikä ei käsittääkseni kuulunut kierrokseen, tämän ajan olisi hyvin voinut käyttää museossa, samoin lounastauko olisi voinut olla lyhyempi. Kokonaisuudessaa loisto retki, vaikka kanssa matkustajat eivät noudattaneet aikatauluja ja niitä joutui odottamaan.

Retki oli hyvä ja opas oli asiantuntija kertoessaan historiasta ja piti huolen aikataulussa pysymisessä. Miinuksena oli turha käynti hajuvesikaupassa, olisin mieluummin käyttänyt sen ajan museoon. Opas olisi silloin voinut kierrellä meidän kanssa ja kertoa enemmän esineistä ja historiasta. Mutta suosittelen retkeä, oli kuitenkin tosi mielenkiintoinen.

Visiting the Pyramid & Sphinx was a great experience and we have fantastic photos, visiting the old Cairo museum (my second visit) was disappointing because so many treasures are no longer on display, I had hoped to visit the new museum. Lunch and the opportunity for a Nile boat ride was great. The advertised 18 hour excursion took 22.5 hours and our guide expressed surprise because we made it back much earlier than usual! Although a very tiring day I consider this excursion to be good value.

Sehr schöner Ausflug. Die Pyramiden und Sphinx sind absolut sehenswert. Allerdings sehr schlecht organisiert. Sowohl in der Früh bei der Abholung, als auch am Abend bei der Rückkehr jeweils ca. 2,5 bis 3 Stunden nur von Hotel zu Hotel bis alle Gäste eingesammelt sind. Zeit an den Pyramiden, Sphinx und Museum eng bemessen. Auch dass zwei Reisegruppen in einem Bus (vorne polnisch, hinten deutsch) mit unterschiedlichem Programmablauf (Nilfahrt polnische Gruppe) zusammengefasst wurden störte uns.

Vår resa (24/4-2025) från Hurghada till Kairo tog 21 timmar tur och retur. Trevlig och påläst guide (utbildad Egyptolog) som verkligen gav 100 % och lite till. Nästa gång som vi besöker Egypten kommer vi att besöka Luxor. För återvända det kommer vi absolut att göra ??

The most we liked was guide, the less was driver who tried every time to sell drinks. Second what we didn't like is constant tipping. Even if you paid for something extra there still will be tipping.

Great trip overall. However, the museum tour was rushed, with one elderly lady becoming separated from the group due to the speed that Achmed moved us through the museum. I felt that the boat trip that was added into the itinerary was unnecessary; more time could have been spent in the museum if this hadn't been the case.

Kiva retki, jossa näki lyhyessä ajassa kaikki olennaisimmat nähtävyydet. Bussimatka oli tosi raskas, mutta meni yllättävän kivuttomasti nukkuessa. Matkalla pysähdyimme myös papyrusmuseossa ´, joka oli mielestäni vähän turhaa. Lisäksi lopussa olisi pitänyt olla Niilinristeily, jolle emme sitten ruuhkan takia päässeet, mutta sekin on mielestäni turhaa tuon tyyppisellä retkellä. Sen ajan mikä noihin meni, olisi voinut käyttää esimerkiksi Egyptimuseossa, sillä siellä on niin paljon nähtävää.

Overall the trip was 23.5 hours, the pyramids were impressive, the museum took about 40mins to actually get inside as the guides had to sort tickets and headsets out, very busy and hot inside. Lunch was pretty basic and drinks were not included.

Ihana mutta myös rankka retki, kun bussissa sai huonosti nukuttua. Opas asiantunteva ja puhui hyvää englantia ja hänen johdollaan perehdyimme Kairon museon kokoelmiin. Ilman opasta, museokierroksesta olisi saanut paljon vähemmän irti. Pyramidit ja Sfinksi olivat elämys samoin Niilin risteily. Lounas maittava. Mutta retkeen oli sisällytetty liikaa ohjelmaa: museon, lounaan, pyramidien sfinksin ja Niilin risteilyn jälkeen oltiin jo ihan puhki, ei enää oltaisi jaksettu tutustua parfyymitehtaaseen.

Fijn om de pyramides gezien te hebben, lunch was ok en gids op zich ook. Wel jammer van duur hele trip, om en beide 24 uur van start tot einde...slaapbus zou zoveel beter zijn, zeker met kinderen! Wat heel jammer was het 'gedwongen' boottochtje en bezoek aan parfumerie, gids zal wel in het spelletje zitten qua geld, jammer. Maar nog meer jammer was dat we de sfinx, waar we uiteindelijk voor betalen!!!, in de schemer hebben kunnen bezoeken door voorgaande opgelegde bezoekjes!

The trip overall includes everything you wanted . However I would like them to exclude/ just offer the added extras on to those who want it. as part of the trip you get taken into a papyrus place, which is totally aimed at you buying something . I feel like you should be allowed to opt out of this and remain on the bus if you wanted to

Ausflug dauerte fast 23 Stunden bis man wieder am Hotel ankommt, aber sollte man wenn man in Ägypten ist mal gesehen haben. Esen war gut und netter Reiseleiter, leider ist alles etwas hektisch um alles in Ruhe anzusehen bleibt wenig Zeit.

Um in die Pyramiden rein zu gehen muss man extra bezahlen!!! (Kleine 7€,grosse 23-25€). Es geht alles sehr schnell. Man aht wirklich nur ca 1.30 Stunden a den Pyramiden und 30Minuten bei der Sphinx. Trotzdem war der Ausflug wunderbar. Uns wurd alles sehr gut erklärt und alle Fragen konnten beantwortet werden. Tour Guide war sehr sehr nett! Das Mittagessen findet auf einem Schiff statt und ist sehr gut. Der Ausflug war ein positives,einmaliges Erlebnis. Kann ich nur jeden weiter empfehlen :)

Tripp war Gut Organisiert. Ausreichend bus Stops vorhanden. Reiseleitung war freundlich nur Manchmal etwas zu schnell Geredet, das er sich etwas verhaspelt hat. Für die Pyramiden würde ich Empfehlen zu Kühleren Zeiten zu fahren, das mitgebrachte Wasser war innerhalb von 5 min auf Außentemperatur. Was wir nicht so gut fanden war der Bus, da sollte TUI vielleicht noch mal Geld in die Hand nehmen und diesen austausche Urin Geruch etc. Sonnst war der Trip Super! Ein Erlebnis!

Our tour guide, Ray, was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and encouraged people to ask questions whenever they wanted. He explained everything thoroughly so we knew what to expect throughout the day. My adult son wanted to go inside the pyramids but I didn’t, and Ray made sure I felt safe and was looked after while my son was gone. He explained how best to deal with people trying to get us to part with our money. It was a long day - but we knew that before we left. I’d recommend this trip.

Der Ausflug war zwar aufgrund der Entfernung schon sehr langwierig, aber es hat sich absolut gelohnt. Man hat sehr viel sehen können und die Mittagspause mit Lunch war auch in einer angenehmen Atmpsphäre auf einem Boot sehr schön arrangiert. Besonders muss man unseren Guide Hardy erwähnen, der trotz der Hitze den vollen Einsatz abrufte und uns den ganzen Tag viel Wissen und gute Laune vermittelte.

We enjoyed the trip, staff was friendly, we felt very secure, air con in the bus at all times. We were unable to enjoy the pyramids and Sphynx due to extreme heat; therefore unable to see them inside as advertised. The seats were very uncomfortable, especially for a long trip of at least 12h. Next time we will choose the flights instead. The guide did not offer as much info as expected. The bus was split between 2 groups (speaking different languages). Would be better smaller group. Nice overall

The pace of the tour was perfect, no hanging about but plenty of time to see everything. The tour guide was amazing, very knowledgeable. The surprise of being able to pay a small amount for a quick motor boat ride on the Nile was brilliant. The security guard was with us the whole time, we felt and we’re really safe. The only bit of feedback would be that maybe soft drinks could be included in the price, but that is just being picky as I can’t find fault. It was a perfect day all round.

Brilliant day! Well organised and excellent guide. We had a great experience. It is a long day - 23 hours with 1am pick up, but we knew that beforehand and it was well worth it. £10 per person for optional boat trip was enjoyable, but very expensive for a 20 minute experience. There should be a student price because I had to pay full adult price for my teenagers for this experience despite their attraction tickets costing a lot less as students. Good to know - Pyramid only take cards.

Geboekt bij tui omdat we vorig jaar naar luxor goede ervaring hadden en heel graag Nederlandstaligen gids wilden. Helaas kregen we nu 1 dag voor vertrek te horen dat we een Engelstaligen gids kregen. Die ook nog eens erg gestressed was en het heel vervelend vond dat wij zoveel vragen stelde, omdat wij niet alles begrepen. We voelden ons niet welkom in de groep. Beloofde boottochtje op de Nijl ging niet door.

Der Bus war viel zu eng für eine so lange Reise, die Knie sind am Vordersitz angestanden. Mittagessen um 16 Uhr wenn man um 1 Uhr Abfahrt hat und nur ein kleines Frühstückspaket vom Hotel bekommt ist viel zu spät. Alle waren schon sehr hungrig und haben die Reise nicht richtig genießen können.

11 mars 2024 Resan är oorganiserad och guiden var okunnig och berättade lite historia men inte som man förväntar sig. Vi blev hämtad kl01:30 stannade för frukost och kaffepaus vid 04:00 sen vi åt lunch vid 14:30. Vi var jättehungrig och trötta. Sista åkte vi till museet, Guiden köpte 24 biljetter och vi var 25 personer. Vi fick trasiga hörlurar och tyvärr hör vi ingenting..... Resan är inte rekommenderat

This was a great day out BUT it's a 23/24 hour day trip not 18 hours as advertised and I was disappointed to find it was much more expensive than had we booked it direct with an EasyJet representative at the hotel. Our tour guide was fantastic.

Een hele toffe ervaring, Ahmed was een leuke gids en fijn dat het met tui vantevoren al geregeld is. Let wel in egypte zelf kun je veel goedkoper boeken, ook komen er nog extra optionele kosten bij voor bijvoorbeeld een bootritje over de Nijl en een ritje naar een mooie foto plek bij de piramides. Ook duurt deze trip minimaal 23 uur, ik zou het aanraden maar wel voor 1 keer en nooit meer, het is heel vermoeiend ??

Reiseleiter (Hadi) war unglaublich umsichtig, hat alles perfekt organisiert und viele Informationen über Ägypten mit der Gruppe geteilt! Der Busfahrer war sehr freundlich, hat günstige Getränke angeboten und uns sicher transportiert. Das Mittagessen auf dem Nil toll OK (die Getränke waren vielleicht etwas teuer - Bier 6€ / Wasser 2€ ) Die Pyramiden muss man gesehen haben. Sämtliche zusätzliche Tickets (Pyramideneintritt, Kamelreiten, …) wurden von Hadi organisiert. Ein wunderbarer Tag! Danke!!!

This is a great tour but a long day, 21 hours on this occasion. Pyramids/ Sphinx are awesome, you don't appreciate size of these structures built. Tour is organised into travel to Cairo for meal and then to Giza for pyramids / souvenirs however guide added optional Nile trip and scent factory

The whole trip was fantastic, whilst Cairo itself is not a particularly safe place, the tour company ensured our safety at all times. We had an armed guard with us for the duration of the trip and our tour guide told us exactly what to do at every location in order to protect ourselves.

The whole day was outstanding from start to finish. We were collected on time and the coach was clean and air conditioned. Stops were at good times. The experiences at the Museum, Pyramids and Sphinx are ones that will be treasured forever. Our Tour Guide was simply the BEST!

Reissu oli kaikin puolin onnistunut! Kannattaa varata reilusti sekä vettä (yhdellä pysähdyksellä 6h bussimatka suuntaansa) että tippirahaa moniin eri tilanteisiin (mm. kameliratsastukseen). Moottoriveneajelu ei välttämättä rahan arvoinen. Lounas oli laadultaan erinomainen buffet jälkiruokineen! Päivän aikataulu oli toimiva, ei liian tiukka. Kesto hotellilta hotellille noin 22h, kuten moni aiemmissa arvosteluissaan olikin kertonut.

Vi var med en bus, som havde to guider. Den ene talte polsk og den anden engelsk. Vi kunne kun forstå den engelske, men han brugt ikke microfonen som var i bussen, så vi kunne ikke høre, hvad han sagde. Vi sad bagerst i bussen og han stod midt i bussen og talte med almindelig stemmeleje. Vi gjorde opmærksom på at vi intet kunne høre og at det ville hjælpe hvis han flyttede længere ned i bussen eller brugte microfonen som den anden guide gjorde, men desværre uden held. ØV, ØV, ØV.

I oplyser at det koster 400 egyptiske pund at komme ind i pyramiden, både på net og af guide på stedet. Det koster 900. Så en væsentlig forskel. Og betaler man i euro koster det endnu mere. Spisested et var ikke det bedste for børn. Maden var ikke børn venlig. Men hyggeligt sted. Evt drop stoppet om natten, da alle bliver vækket og ødelægger søvnen frem mod en dag i Cairo. Virkelig god guide vi havde med.

A good day out and very professional but a very long day out. If you get travel sick, have a bad back or dont like sitting still for very long periods then this is not the trip for you. It was advertised as 18 hours but was actually 23 hours by the time we got back to the hotel.
