No alto das colinas ao norte da cidade de Skiathos, você encontrará dois dos locais mais sagrados da ilha. A Igreja dos Arcanjos e o Mosteiro de Evagelistria vêm atraindo fiéis há séculos – e é fácil entender o porquê. Sua tarde começa com uma visita guiada à Igreja dos Arcanjos – que é famosa por suas águas termais curativas – e depois caminhe até o Mosteiro Evangelistria. É um refúgio de artefatos culturais e históricos, e foi um local-chave na luta da Grécia pela independência – foi aqui que a bandeira da Grécia foi hasteada pela primeira vez. Este mosteiro do século XVIII fica na encosta da montanha e cercado por uma floresta de pinheiros exuberante. As vistas daqui são espetaculares. A capela é decorada com ícones coloridos e também há um museu exibindo livros e manuscritos raros. Após uma visita guiada, você desfrutará de uma degustação de alguns vinhos locais. E você também terá tempo livre para passear pelos terrenos do mosteiro antes de voltar para seu hotel.

Really enjoyed the afternoon. Guide knowledgeable and interesting. Perhaps do not suggest that there is a wine tasting but that ,at the monastery, their home made wine is for sale and you can sample a small glass. No one to guide you through the tastes, production or history.

A pleasant few hours visiting 2 churches and a monastery with Michael who was a very interesting and informative guide with a lovely easy manner. Very little walking and a small glass of wine but enjoyed it.

Not as advertised. Three monasteries not two. Too much information. No wine tasting! Expected a more balanced experience, two monasteries and some wine to help mull over what we’d seen. The one large monastery and wine tasting would have been ideal. As it was I was all out by the time we’d got to the main event.

Guide Michael was excellent, very knowledgeable and entertaining. However, trip was very expensive. We were not picked up from our hotel but had to make our own way to Skiathos Harbour and still paid the same as those who had transport from other parts of the island. Also, there was no wine tasting.

Great trip, our guide Michael was so knowledgeable and made it very interesting. Just a point that on the trip info it says there is a wine tasting session which didn't happen. Would be great to have tasted the wine or liquers that they make at the monastery.

Our guide, Michael, was excellent. Very knowledgeable with a good sense of humour. Really knew his subject. The monastery was beautiful and the monk’s liqueurs well worth sampling.

The guide on this trip was excellent. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. Made the trip enjoyable. The details said there was 'Hike@ and 'Wine Tasting'.... The hike was a gentle stroll from one spot to another, no hiking involved, and the wine tasting was not exactly as promised, just a swig in the shop before a retail opportunity. That said it was a great trip and I would highly recommend if only for the 'Michael Palin' style guide's delivery....Highly entertaining.

The information around the pick up time was total incorrect and therefore we waited for more than 40 mins. That said this was a great afternoon with a some group and an excellent guide. Very enjoyable.

Michael, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and excellent. Unfortunately, due to poor communication by TUI causing some members of the party to be late, our tour of the churches and monastery was rushed. Was a little disappointed as this quit an expensive trip. To reiterate- Michael was excellent

Great tour, Michael was amazing and so knowledgeable.
Shame the tour was cut short due to people being late and the bus waiting for them. Really rushed the whole experience.
Otherwise fabulous.
