Aber wenn Sie sich von den unberührten Stränden losreißen können, gibt es noch viel mehr zu sehen und zu tun".Sie beginnen Ihr Abenteuer am Melissani-See mit einer unterirdischen Bootsfahrt zur Melissani-Höhle. Wenn das Sonnenlicht durch die Öffnung der Höhle scheint, schimmert das Wasser unter Wasser türkisfarben - ein unvergesslicher Anblick. Georgios fügt hinzu: "Um die Geschichte dieses Sees ranken sich viele Mythen und Legenden. Manche sagen, er sei nach Melissanthi benannt, deren Geist noch heute in der Höhle spukt. The cost for the trip was £100 for 2 adults, we then had to pay for entry into the 2 caves which was €16 each, we then had to pay for lunch in a highly priced stop off resort. The only saving grace was the lovely tour lady who was very knowledgeable and professional and only she can get credit for this excursion.

Unfortunately the day didnt start well we were due to be picked up @8.30 from the Palatino hotel the coach hadnt ariived i received a call from Kelly to say the pick up had been changed to a point on the main road a few minutes walk away. Apparently because we had booked online the new pick up hadnt ben updated although we had checked with George at our welcome meeting thatt pick up was still the same. It wasnt a big issue for us but obviously communication needs improving.

Tour guide was great, the additional entry fee costs are not made clear and means I've paid 50 per person for a bus ride!!!!! Fuming. This is the third year in a row tui have taken the mic or messed up will not be booking anything with the company again.

Nowhere on the tui booking information does it say you have to pay to go into each cave. It only tells you on the ticket once you have paid. This is deceptive and needs to be made clear before you pay. The trip cost £50 each which is basically the coach transport. It was another €16 each for the caves.

It was extremely hot on the day of our tour. Unfortunately, the coach looked old and the air con, whilst it worked, didn't get down to actually blow down on us to keep us cool. We felt very uncomfortable whilst on the coach. The rep assured us that the coaches had air con. Whilst the tour was very good, we were very disappointed with the coach especially the air con.

Overall the trip was enjoyable. Tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable. The island is absolutely stunning and so picturesque! Would not however say it was worth the money. Rather overpriced for a bus tour and even had to pay for entrance to cave and lake. Sorry but they are a real money making racket. Bus air conditioning wasn't great and it was 36° on our day trip. Cost 3 of us £200 which is a bit steep in my opinion.

Our tour guide, Maria, was great. Very knowledgeable about the island and shared so much information with us. The lake and caves are definitely worth a visit. The trip overall is a little long, especially the lunch stop. It felt like we were just waiting to leave for most of that part

The tour route was changed and we had to sit on the bus for 2 hours .During this period we had a very short 5 minute break to get off the bus to take pictures of Myrtos beach which was mainly obscured by people and trees. We stopped in fiskardo for 1 hour which was enough time for a wander and drink. We then went to Agia Effimia. As we got off the coach we were herded into a restaurant for lunch no choice just shouted at take a table. I could not hear or understand anything the tour guide said.

The whole trip was very good and well organised. We were picked up on time, the coach was clean and comfortable. The tour guide was fantastic, she was a wealth of knowledge and was an excellent guide throughout. The driver was very good and negotiated the tight spaces well, I felt safe while we were travelling.

We enjoyed the caves/lakes the most, they were amazing. There was tighter time schedules for some places more than others, for example there was longer time for the lunch at the taverna which wasn’t needed as food finished earlier and there wasn’t much to do in the little village.

We were told that we were being picked up at 9.15. At 10.00 we phone the rep to find out that had happened. It appears that our coach had been cancelled but no one had contacted us or her even though you had our email address. When the coach arrived at 10.25 we had to sit at the back but could hear nothing that the guide said as the speaker volume was low. He may have talked about what would happen at each spot but we could heart nothing. Also his English was not very fluent so there was a l

What a wonderful trip round beautiful Kefalonia made even more enjoyable by the knowledge displayed by our wonderful guide Maria about the history of the Island. Maria is a little gem, friendly and professional and we so enjoyed this trip. Our TUI rep Nikolaos, was very helpful and knowledgeable regarding the trip and helped us to choose the one we wanted. Nikolaos also helped us with local info information for foods to try and local restaurants. Something an AI couldn’t do! Our Tour guide on the trip, was fantastic, Diska, gave us so much local information and history, kept us informed in between stops, which also included recommending the best restaurants at one of the stops. She looked after us throughout the entire trip

This trip was amazing from start to finish. The sights that we were taken on by our very lovely and informative guide Maria were perfect and everything we wanted to see in Greece. Maria’s knowledge and passion of Kefalonia was vast. My two children learnt so much knowledge and history from listening to Maria throughout the tour, so much so we have recommended she do her own podcast. Our guide Diamond was lovely, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Our driver was amazing, navigating the very tight roads and parking in the best spots for views and photos. Fiskardo was very pretty, lake mellisani was great, the views from the bus were incredible.

The TUI ‘rep’ on the coach was very informative and gave a lot of insight into the island along the route and not just the places we were visiting. ( I think her name was Ducce?!) Also the paying for the caves/ lake on the coach prior to arriving at these places sped up the entrance and we didn’t have to queue unnecessarily. Totally enjoyed the excursion and I can’t think of any downside.

We were lucky to be on the tour in early May and the venues were relatively quite. But we still had to queue at the lake and the caves. The advert for the tour does mention that it is not suitable for people with reduced mobility and you do have the option to 'cherry pick' the bits you want to see, but a bit more information about why it it not suitable, eg: lots of steps and and distances from drop off points to villages would be useful. It would also be handy to mention long time on coaches.

Good for visiting parts you would not normally see. Cave visits not for the infirm can be dangerous where handrails are not provided. Lighting very poor also.

Everything ok except our last stop which had steep steps down and a lady slipped and had to be taken to hospital by taxi. I suggest another route down be used if possible before it happens again

Guide was very informative lots of information and friendly. Giskardo stop should have been longer. We stopped somewhere for lunch for an hour and a 15 mins on the way to fiskardo but the time would have been better spent in fiskardo in my opinion

Diamond, our guide, and Pavlos our driver were both phenomenal. It was such an interesting and enjoyable day. Both caves were breathtaking and lunch at Greco, recommended by Diamond, was delicious. Cannot fault the day.

Great day out, I wish we had more time in beautiful Fiscardo. Guide Wendy was great, both my daughter and myself loved her history facts and stories, learnt a lot of history about Kefalonia that we didn’t know before, made it even better day. One of the best trips.

Really enjoyed the caves and lake. Not a lot of free time to look around Fiskardo after a lunch and also very little time at Agia Effimia after queuing for an ice cream

As we have been to many caves and lakes before and not as able to climb steps we decided to not do these. We would have loved the opportunity to have been dropped off in the town whilst others had the experience. It would have been nice to have had another stop at Poros and a little longer at each place but we understand time is of essence. However a lovely trip and very informative with great guide Wendy and driver.

It was everything we expected and more. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our boatman a Mellisani was brilliant and kept telling us all about cave history and how it came to be found. It was a great experience overall.

We had a great day. The coach collected us at the time allocated and we were greeted by our guide Wendy. Throughout the day Wendy was very helpful and explained everything and we even had various times on the coach were she would tells us more about the island. The caves and lakes where great and we got there early so no queues! Plenty of time at each stop off. The views of Mrytos beach was stunning. Great value for money and would definitely recommend Wendy was an excellent guide too

This was the first coach trip we have done in thirty years, so we booked with a little bit of trepidation.. we are used to soloing it. Our tour guide was lovely, knowledgeable, approachable, professional, funny, it all made for an unforgettable day. I can not miss out our driver, the consummate professional. Whole day was enjoyable as you could choose which stops to participate in, and the later lunch stop in Fiskardo worked out well as no cruise ships in port & early season made it a very enjoyable visit. Maria the guide was very friendly & gave us lots of information about the island whilst travelling between stops.

Overall very pleasant but in my opinion not very good value for money. The highlights were 2 caves. These were only a 10 minute walk from our hotel. The entrance price was not included in the trip. The trip included 2 stops in pleasant towns and the guide was informative about the island

Really enjoyed our time at Drogarati, Fiskardo and Agia Efimia. Although the chaps at Melissina are lovely, it fell a little short of expectations. Overall, for us, a longer time at Fiskardo without the stop at Agia Efimia maybe enough for the one day after the caves, despite it's loveliness. Wendy is great and a real credit to the company.
