Once an important and prosperous city, Lindos is ancient Greece to a tee. Explore this history-steeped seaside village with an optional, interactive Acropolis tour, bringing treasures to life with the Lindos 3D app. ‘I'm particularly passionate about guiding in Lindos, one of the oldest acropolises in Greece. I love strolling through the maze of whitewashed streets, especially stopping by the Captain's House and seeing its beautiful, pebbled mosaic floor,' says Fotini, one of our guides.As you approach Lindos, there's no mistaking the mountaintop fortress of the Acropolis, perched more than 120 metres above the sea. It crowns a headland whose slopes are covered in trees the whitewashed homes of the village. The interior of Church of the Holy Virgin is lavishly decorated in frescoes and icons. De gids deed haar werk prima! Gaf goed uitleg, niet zo’n standaard verhaaltje, maar echt uitgebreide uitleg. Plaatsje Lindos stelt echt niet veel voor, Acropolis is interessant om te bezoeken. De excursie voor 2 personen ad 120€ vonden wij behoorlijk aan de prijs. Maar goed, wij hebben ervan genoten. Tip! Een iets uitgebreider ontbijt is welkom. Een broodje is wel erg karig, zeker voor de mannen.

Le guide Dimitri était fantastique: beaucoup d'explications sur la ville de Lindos pendant tous les siècles, les coutumes des grecs, leur vie quotidienne. Ville avec des rues commerciales magnifiques. La montée vers l'acropole dur. Heureusement que c'était du matin à midi, vue la chaleur. Très agréable et à recommander. Vraiment magnifique!!!

De gids was erg goed en vertelde het verhaal heel goed en duidelijk. Het microfoontje was iets minder, deed het goed in de bus maar gaf tijdens de wandeling wat storing als de gids wat verder weg was. Mooie excursie maar ik vond het best prijzig.

mijn zus en ik hebben aangegeven dat wij een beperking in mobiliteit hadden en gevraagd of lindos iets was voor ons i.v.m klimmen/dalen in de stad, ze gaf aan dat dat kon maar niet naar het kasteel. na bus reis kwamen we aan en we moesten al meteen steil naar beneden toen zagen we ook de steile steegjes, dus zijn we niet verder meegegaan met de gids, De gids had haast blijkbaar keek niet om of er iemand achterbleef. Dus hebben we een busreisje van 100,00 euro gehad en verder niks. weg geld

This was a good trip, the guide had a lot of knowledge of the local area. Would definitely recommend this one, once you have done the acropolis you make your way down to the town where you can purchase gifts and souvenirs from the local shops. There are also places to eat and drink. We went in the morning when the temperature was bearable, wouldn’t fancy doing this trip in the afternoon though. Additionally it is quite hilly so make sure you have good footwear and can tackle the steep paths. ??

Wir haben bereits viele Ausflüge mit Euch gemacht, aber sowas haben wir bisher nicht erlebt. Es sollte sich um eine geführte Tour mit erfrischungsgetränk und freie Zeit handeln. Es gab keinerlei Info's auf der Fahrt, die Kopfhörer für die Tour rauschten oder die guide war außerhalb der Reichweite, viel zu viele Teilnehmer. Keinerlei Service. Keinerlei Preis-leistungs-verhältnis

De moeite waard maar wel een eerder dure uitstap. Lindos is prachtig. We kwamen als eerste bus aan wat wel heel fijn was zodat we mooie foto's konden nemen. Late voormiddag werd het er heel druk.

Super pomysl, ze wycieczka zostala zorganizowana we wczesnych godzinach bo w porze obiadowej bylismy z powrotem w hotelu. Cena dosc wysoka, ale jest w niej bilet wstepu na Akropol i woda/napój. Dzieci w wieku 5 i 10 lat daly rade - wycieczka jest krótka jednak warto z niej skorzystac - Lindos jest piekne.

Maria war ein toller Guide mit viel Wissen über Rhodos und die Geschichte der Insel. Sie Akropolis an sich ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Wahnsinnig schöne Aussicht, viel Geschichte und nette Geschäfte in den typisch kleinen Gassen. Reibungsloser Ablauf. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist der Preis, aber man gönnt sich ja sonst nichts

It was a lovely excursion. However I felt the actual trip was overpriced. We paid just over £182 for 3 people. If we'd researched it properly, used public transport and bought the Acropolis tickets ourselves, it would have cost us less than half this price. The guide was fantastic and provided lots of information, but was only with us for the first hour.

Katharina was een fijne gids en ging helemaal mee tot boven op de Acropolis wat niet alle gidsen doen. Ze laste ook wat stops in om op adem te komen want dit was nodig gezien de hoge temperatuur. Ook top van Tui om rekening te houden met de temperatuur en 's morgensvroeg te vertrekken.

De kleine straatjes in Lindos waren super mooi en gezellig.de weg omhoog had je afgronden en helaas zat daar geen hekwerk langs zodat je niet naar beneden kan vallen.hier schok ik van maar begrijp dat Tui hier niet veel aan kan doen.

Hinta turhan kova lyhyestä bussimatkasta ja englanninkielisestä opastuksesta. Akropolis oli vähän pettymys Ateenan, Rooman, Turkin ja monen muun historiallisten nähtävyyksien jälkeen. Aikaa olisi voinut olla enemmän että olisi ehtinyt käymään Lindoksen keskustassa. Rappusten määrä ja korkeus olisi voinut olla myös etukäteen paremmin tiedotettu. Opas teki parhaansa.

Ondanks het vroege tijdstip was het heel fijn op in de ochtend als een van de eerste de Acropolis op te gaan. Niet zo druk met andere toeristen, maar ook fijn vanwege de warmte.

The Guide was outstanding and was a wealth of information . The climb to the top of the venue was ok as it had a handrail. The descent as you were on the outside was very dangerous with no handrails wit a 2-3 hundred foot drops this was not acceptable to a lot of visitors as they looked up to it and turned around and walked back. I have recorded my findings and am advising you that you will have a serious accident here it’s only a matter of time..

Unser Führer war sehr kompetent und nett, aber nachdem wir auf der Akropolis angekommen sind hat er uns sich selbst überlassen. Das ist für mich keine Führung durch Lindos für 67€. Wir hatten also nur die Busfahrt, während der unser Führer natürlich viel Interessantes erzählt hat und den Aufstieg zur Akropolis. Finde ich sehr dünn für das Geld. Und die Erfrischung in einem heimischen Betrieb war ein Kiosk mit unfreundlichem Personal. Ich finde die Preisleitung nicht in Ordnung. MfG

Der Tour Guide Steffen hat vieles sehr gut erklärt und uns mit interessanten Informationen „versorgt“. Positiv ist der frühe Termin dieses Events. Dadurch war es in Lindos noch nicht so voll und die Temperaturen noch erträglich. Die Akropolis ist sehr sehenswert und der Ausblick ist einfach traumhaft

Poor safety on the climb to the Acropolis. Was offered a free drink at a shop which we could have done with at the start of the tour not the end. Shuttle bus to the coach park not in service. Had to wait for another coach for our return as the air conditioning did not work.

Wieder einmal hatte ich Maria als Guide, sie ist einfach super erzählt viel mehr als sie müsste, spitze. Der Besuch von Lindos und der Akropolis lohnt sich, 3 Stunden finde ich eine gute Zeit um in Ruhe alles zu sehen oder noch etwas trinken zu gehen. Einzug das die Wege vor Ort nicht gesichtet sind finde ich etwas befremdlich, da kann so schnell etwas passieren. Aber das ist Sache der Tourismus Gesellschaft dort.

Der Tour-Guide Steffen war spitze! Würden wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! Auch dass wir die ersten vor Ort waren - vor dem Touristenansturm - empfanden wir als sehr angenehm. Insgesamt fanden wir den Preis jedoch viel zu hoch: Fast 200 Euro für 2 Erwachsene und zwei Kleinkinder (3 und 6 Jahre). Die Kinder müssten günstiger sein.

The tour was too short with insufficient time allowed to enjoy Lindos. the tour guide was great very informative but the time there was far to rushed. The literature said between 4 & 8 hrs. We were barely there 2 hrs.

Amazing place to visit. Guide was brilliant, lots of information about sights on the journey to Lindos and at the Acropolis. Plenty of time to explore. Bit of a steep climb,lots of stairs but 100% worth the climb.

We hebben een goede, duidelijke uitleg gekregen van de gids. Het ophalen en terug afzetten van de mensen duurt wel lang, maar ik zie niet in hoe dat anders zou kunnen.

Went on the bus and enjoyed the ride but was not informed about the end climb to the top of the mountain and how steep it would be so for the money it was not worth the cost and a lot of people were not able to do the climb had it been explained by the rep we would not have paid the price for it sorry

Door de aardbeving van de nacht ervoor waren wij overslapen en reed de bus door toen we beneden waren. Toen we aan tui vroegen om iets te regelen op een andere dag ging dat niet. Het is altijd wel iets met tui. Als een klant iets vraagt kan het niet en dat is zo jammer

La demi-journée de 6 h 50 a 13 h 30 pour Lindos ,je pense a était raccourci car nous sommes rentrés a midi a l'hôtel ???? dommage.Une heure et demi en moins sur le programme prévu mais le prix était toujours le même.

De gids in het NL deed het erg leuk, de chauffeur was ook prima en reed goed en vlot. Je wordt heel vroeg opgehaald (7.30 u) om de drukte én de evt warmte voor te zijn. Dat is heel erg goed! Maar de Akropolis stelde niet zoveel voor. Veel brok steen met heel veel restauratie blokken te zien. Wel een prachtig uitzicht vanaf de Akropolis. Heen en weer kom je langs de vele toeristen winkeltjes van Lindos, dat is wel erg schattig.

I realise the weather can’t be controlled but it was far too windy and dangerous going up/ down the steps with no barriers or railing, I witnessed a few people falling! Being not too far from the hotel it should be cheaper overall

aimé Rodhes et le cadre géographique de l'hôtel. Ambiance de l'hôtel et nourriture bien. Un bémol sur la chambre car mauvaise odeur et qualité de celle-ci. Prix élevé sur excursion. Voyage agreable

Der Guide war super, leider waren wir für Lindos bei der Anfahrt 2,5 Stunden und bei der Rückfahrt ebenso 2,5 Stunden im Bus gesessen. 5 Stunden Bus für 3 Stunden Lindos ist echt übel. Lindos selber war sehr schön.

Der Guide kam 10 Minuten zu spät und hat uns zur Akropolis geführt Auf halber höhe hat er ein schaubild der Akropolis gezeigt und etwas erläutert und dann wurde er nicht mehr gesehen bis zur abfahrt Die tour hst uns gut gefallen aber das hätten eir such ihne Guide geschafft
