Merveilles naturelles, plages impressionnantes et jolis villages : en tant que destination touristique, la Céphalonie ne déçoit pas. Cette journée de visite vous propose de découvrir quelques-uns de ses plus beaux atouts, sur terre comme sur mer. Le lac Melissani, la grotte de Drogarati, Fiskardo et Agia Efimia sont au programme, ainsi qu'un arrêt photo à la baie de Myrtos. Georgios, l'un de nos guides locaux, explique : "Avec environ 250 km de côtes, l'île de Céphalonie compte des plages parmi les plus belles de Grèce. Et si vous arrivez à vous éloigner du sable immaculé, il y a plein d'autres choses à voir et à faire."Vous commencerez votre aventure en glissant sur le lac Melissani, lors d'une balade en bateau souterraine jusqu'à la grotte de Melissani. Lorsque la lumière du soleil pénètre par l'ouverture en haut de cette grotte, elle crée une belle teinte fluorescente scintillante sur l'eau. Georgios raconte : "Il y a de nombreux mythes et légendes concernant l'histoire du lac. Certains disent qu'il doit son nom à Melissanthi, dont l'esprit hante encore aujourd'hui la grotte. D'autres disent qu'il a été découvert par un berger, qui a choisi d'y passer le reste de ses jours." Un arrêt est prévu dans la grotte voisine de Drogarati, avec ses stalactites et ses stalagmites.Vous rejoindrez le port d'Agia Efimia, pour une brève visite. Vous continuerez vers Fiskardo, avec deux heures de temps libre devant vous, pour explorer ce village de pêcheurs branché, faire quelques achats de souvenirs ou manger dans l'une de ses nombreuses tavernes aux couleurs pastel. La journée se termine par un beau point de vue sur la plage de Myrtos. Baignée par des eaux bleues et limpides, elle fait partie des endroits les plus photographiés de Grèce.

The cost for the trip was £100 for 2 adults, we then had to pay for entry into the 2 caves which was €16 each, we then had to pay for lunch in a highly priced stop off resort. The only saving grace was the lovely tour lady who was very knowledgeable and professional and only she can get credit for this excursion.

From pick up to end it was a brilliant day Eleni and Dimitrios made sure that we had a great day they were informative, helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the day didnt start well we were due to be picked up @8.30 from the Palatino hotel the coach hadnt ariived i received a call from Kelly to say the pick up had been changed to a point on the main road a few minutes walk away. Apparently because we had booked online the new pick up hadnt ben updated although we had checked with George at our welcome meeting thatt pick up was still the same. It wasnt a big issue for us but obviously communication needs improving.

Tour guide was great, the additional entry fee costs are not made clear and means I've paid 50 per person for a bus ride!!!!! Fuming. This is the third year in a row tui have taken the mic or messed up will not be booking anything with the company again.

Nowhere on the tui booking information does it say you have to pay to go into each cave. It only tells you on the ticket once you have paid. This is deceptive and needs to be made clear before you pay. The trip cost £50 each which is basically the coach transport. It was another €16 each for the caves.

Overall the trip was enjoyable. Tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable. The island is absolutely stunning and so picturesque! Would not however say it was worth the money. Rather overpriced for a bus tour and even had to pay for entrance to cave and lake. Sorry but they are a real money making racket. Bus air conditioning wasn't great and it was 36° on our day trip. Cost 3 of us £200 which is a bit steep in my opinion.

The tour route was changed and we had to sit on the bus for 2 hours .During this period we had a very short 5 minute break to get off the bus to take pictures of Myrtos beach which was mainly obscured by people and trees. We stopped in fiskardo for 1 hour which was enough time for a wander and drink. We then went to Agia Effimia. As we got off the coach we were herded into a restaurant for lunch no choice just shouted at take a table. I could not hear or understand anything the tour guide said.

We enjoyed the caves/lakes the most, they were amazing. There was tighter time schedules for some places more than others, for example there was longer time for the lunch at the taverna which wasn’t needed as food finished earlier and there wasn’t much to do in the little village.

The TUI ‘rep’ on the coach was very informative and gave a lot of insight into the island along the route and not just the places we were visiting. ( I think her name was Ducce?!) Also the paying for the caves/ lake on the coach prior to arriving at these places sped up the entrance and we didn’t have to queue unnecessarily. Totally enjoyed the excursion and I can’t think of any downside.

We were lucky to be on the tour in early May and the venues were relatively quite. But we still had to queue at the lake and the caves. The advert for the tour does mention that it is not suitable for people with reduced mobility and you do have the option to 'cherry pick' the bits you want to see, but a bit more information about why it it not suitable, eg: lots of steps and and distances from drop off points to villages would be useful. It would also be handy to mention long time on coaches.

Guide was very informative lots of information and friendly. Giskardo stop should have been longer. We stopped somewhere for lunch for an hour and a 15 mins on the way to fiskardo but the time would have been better spent in fiskardo in my opinion

Whole day was enjoyable as you could choose which stops to participate in, and the later lunch stop in Fiskardo worked out well as no cruise ships in port & early season made it a very enjoyable visit. The last village stop isn't needed, would be better using the time for a longer morning coffee stop at the lake or caves and more time is Fiskardo. It was not clear on the initial booking that admission costs to the lake and cave were not included, that was very poor.

We really enjoyed the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and organised. It really helped arranging the tickets on the coach. The island is beautiful and the trip really did show that off, in what is a relatively short time. We didn't travel with TUI but would recommend this and the Ithaca trip to any first time visitors.

Guide and driver were excellent and the guide had a vast knowledge of the area and some of the history. Scenery was so varied and locations where we stopped were well worth seeing. Stops at the lake and caves are short, volume of visitors dictate time limitations.

The Tui guide (Marlina, I think) her knowledge and facts about Kefolonia & Greek history was fascinating. She was very pleasant and always appeared enthusiastic about her role. The best part of the trips for me personally was the visit to Fiskardo,although the other elements were enjoyable and part of the whole experience.

The caves were good but didn’t realise we would have to queue, although it wasn’t too busy but if it is, if you don’t go into the caves, you’re hanging about a long time. It’s not very accessible for people with mobility issues- I’m not sure this was made clear beforehand. We spent too much time in Fiscardo which was too crowded. It would have been nice to stop st another couple of places. The guide was very knowledgeable & the driver good. Overall we enjoyed the day out.

I enjoyed every aspect of this trip. The young lady who was our guide was very informative and very friendly. She double counted heads to make absolutely sure everyone was aboard. Explained aboutvwhat we were seeing and about the islands traditions. The driver was also very friendly. As we passed Assos. A visit should be included in this trip.

The caves were really great to see. We enjoyed hearing the tour guide, Marilyana, share the history of the island and stories with us during the coach trips- she was brilliant. It was good to go to a few different places on the island. The process of pick up and drop off was really simple and straight forward, and very prompt. The views were beautiful.

Fiskardo was very busy as 3 cruise ships unloaded passengers whilst we were there. Our guide Marilina did correctly advise us not to eat there because it would be super busy and I was very grateful for that information! We stopped at a nearby village after for lunch which was much less crowded and much more enjoyable.

The tour guide was lovely! A huge thank you to Marilena Loved drogorati cave and Melissani cave. Didn’t enjoy having to pay for the excursion and then having to pay entrance into these caves on top of an already expensive excursion. Our stop at fiskardo felt pointless as we were left in the boiling sun to wander around for an hour with not a lot to do. My children got a little travel sick, and were both offered front row seats in the coach, thanks again to Marilena, our lovely tui guide.

Coach was clean and cool. Diamond, our guide was a lovely lady and very knowledgeable about the whole island, we learnt a lot about the history of kefalonia in an interesting and informative way. The only downside to this trip was the lack of time in Fiskardo, we literally got 35 minutes to speedily walk around before we had to return to the coach before being taken to some other small place not on the itinerary for lunch in a restaurant we probably wouldn’t have chosen.

Our guide Katerina was absolutely brilliant she was very informative throughout the day. She remembered people’s names which made it feel more personal and not like you were just another bunch of tourists. Dmitri our coach driver needs a medal. I certainly wouldn’t want to drive a big coach through the tiny streets that he expertly manoeuvred.

This trip was brilliant although I feel the entrance to caves and short boat trip shoukd be included in the price as fir a couple this trip ended up costing over 120 pounds . As well as food and drink costs for the day on top it wasn't cheap

Our guide Maria was very helpful and knowledgeable, I cannot rate her any higher. The driver was also very good. Wanting to make the experience as good as it could be, Maria gave us options to change the order we visited things rather just following the set out schedule to avoid visiting at the busiest time, it worked well and all down to her knowledge of the island

Katalina was a fantastic guide and had a superb knowledge of her home land. She was extremely helpful to ensure we got the best out of our day and the island so simply picturesque. Loved each stop but would have preferred longer in Fiskardo and less slightly at the first cave stop but that’s just a personal thing as I couldn’t manage the 140 steps. Messalini cave was breathtaking and would have enjoyed being there longer. If you have never been before, this tour gives a quick whistle stop tour

Good informative trip .The guide Katerina was excellent.She do well organised it swapping round the schedule to avoid queues at caves and taking prepayment on coach to speed things up.Well worth the money.

For the price we felt that entrance to the caves should be included in the experience ticket rather than having to pay this on top, but overall it was a great experience and our guide Katerina was so lovely and made the experience amazing!

I think it was the timings that I struggled with. Doing both caves first meant that when you got to Fisgardo you had to choose between knowing you had somewhere to eat or exploring. Doing both in the time was a struggle due to the crowds that came in. Also annoying that a 13 year old is too young for the other tour but then has to pay an adult price for this. Are they a child or an adult you can't have it both ways.

The trip was good in terms of seeing different parts of the island and visiting the caves. However the entire trip was 11.5 hours - which was just too long on and off a coach in over 40 degrees. We paid over £100 and this didn’t include entry to either of the caves - which were an additional 35+ euros. The ‘lunch’ stop for 90mins around 2.30pm could have easily been scrapped allowing for more time in more interesting places such as Fiskardo. It was just too long and too expensive.

Maria the guide was excellent - adapted the tour on the fly when she spotted we were competing for space with two cruise ships - and commentary throughout was informative and entertaining.

Quite a long time on the coach. Would rather have 2 hours at Fiscardo than the 1.5 hours and instead reduce the other village we visited from 2 hours to the 1.5 other than that it was a lovely day out

The rep on the coach was absolutely amazing and she was brilliant at her job a credit to the company she should be promoted in my opinion people like her deserve it .and also the driver he was fantastic and a lovely person

We had a wonderful time. Our guide,Maria, was brilliant. Her knowledge that she shared with us was great. Lake Melissani was beautiful. Fiskardo was very busy but the time we had allotted there was enough to grad something to eat and have a look around. The views of Mytos beach was stunning and then the stop at the village on the way back was lovely. We had a great day… thank you TUI

Guide Maria was superb. Very knowledgeable,friendly and engaging. The experience when booking does not mention the added cost of entry to Drogarati caves or Melissani lake. Driver was also excellent but coach air con not working so well. Made for a hot sweaty day.

Maria the guide was excellent. There was the right balance of information and sight seeing to keep you satisfied. Learnt so much about the island and the trip was relaxing and had plenty of time for coffee and lunch when we needed it. Plenty of toilet stop’s available.

Our guide, Katerina, was fantastic, she was so knowledgeable and worked so hard throughout the day. It was a great trip to explore the island getting the chance to see so much of it. Lake Melissani experience was brilliant, however there were lots of queues due to cruise ships arriving and visiting on the same day. Katerina and the coach driver changed the itinerary a little so we could get there earlier and avoid the worst of the queues.

Diamond is a fabulous tour guide and so knowledgeable. We had a totally amazing day on this tour loved everything about it and the door in the restaurant recommended was fantastic! . I have fallen in love with kefalonia and it’s beautiful people

The coach could if had better air con as it was getting a bit hot and sticky but great trip .the guide Maria I think was her name on the weds 10th July was amazing so much local information and stories she really made the trip for us always happy and smiling and as I said informed us on all the Greek history and mythology
