À quoi s'attendre
Le littoral de la baie de Kvarner est parsemé de villes magnifiques et de sites historiques. Cette visite vous propose deux des endroits les plus attrayants : le joli village côtier de Lovran et la station balnéaire cosmopolite d'Opatija. Josip, l'un de nos guides locaux experts, dit : "Connue pour ses villas aux couleurs pastel et ses jardins botaniques, Opatija a atteint son apogée pendant l'âge d'or de l'Empire austro-hongrois. Ne manquez pas la promenade le long du Lungomare, sur les traces de nombreux rois et empereurs de l'époque".Nous commencerons par visiter la jolie ville de Lovran, avec du temps libre pour flâner dans les ruelles parmi les églises du vieux quartier. La ville s'est développée en tant que destination touristique à la fin du 19e siècle, lorsque plusieurs grands hôtels et villas sécessionnistes ont vu le jour. C'était l'une des principales stations balnéaires de ce que l'on appelait alors la "Riviera autrichienne". Profitez-en pour vous balader dans la vieille ville bordée de plantes, pour visiter le petit port de plaisance ou pour déguster des spécialités locales, accompagnées de musique traditionnelle.La prochaine étape sera l'élégante station balnéaire d'Opatija. C'était un simple village de pêcheurs, jusqu'à l'arrivée de l'aristocratie au milieu du 19e siècle. Les villas opulentes sont apparues afin d'accueillir la royauté pour les vacances d'hiver, profitant de l'air doux de la mer. Aujourd'hui, la grandeur historique est encore évidente. Josip ajoute : "Imprégnez-vous de l'atmosphère royale sur la promenade du bord de mer ou dans le parc Angiolina, qui entoure la première villa de vacances construite ici. Prenez aussi le temps de flâner au marché, où vous pourrez vous faire une idée de la vie des habitants."

Due to traffic we went the scenic route which took longer and although beautiful it impacted on what time we had we had at the stops. A number of older people couldn’t keep up and struggled with the terrain. Were asked if we wanted more free time at the second stop but only had just over the hour. Information given by guide was outstanding & very interesting, would oof just liked more time. Thank you

It would have been good to be given a chance for refreshments in Lovran. We were very thirsty by the time we were given free time. A coffee break would have been very welcome. The guide Tin, was excellent and the driver too.

Guide Tin was amazing a fountain of knowledge very friendly could tell he loved his job. Very personable. The lady driver and owner of vehicle a brilliant safe driver could Not have had better driver or Guide.

Thought the trip was lovely and we had great weather, the guide was really lovely. We had travelled from hotel Istra so by the time we got Lovran it was just over two hours. I would have liked a little more time in Lovran and maybe time for a cup of coffee and stretch our legs more. I thought it was a lovely little area and the tasting shop was lovely, we bought some items. We then went onto Opatija and this was a beautiful visit and walk around. Fabulous views.

We would have like a bit more time and n Opatija. As soon as we had found somewhere for lunch it was time to go back. We arrived back in Rovinj at 1525. An extra hour would have been better.

Our guide, I think his name was Byron, was absolutely brilliant ??. VERY knowledgeable, he gave us lots of information about the areas that we were visiting. His Enthusiasm was infectious, his English was very good and he had a good sense of humour. Our experienced driver, Daniel was also excellent, a very good driver. 5 ?? ratings all round. It was an excellent excursion made better by our wonderful guide and driver ????.

Tour guide on trip to opatja and Lovran excellent, His knowledge of the area was unbelievable made it a very enjoyable experience. Would recommend. Excursions However were quite expensive

The places visited were lovely and the guide was very informative. Our concern was that 6 of us were picked up from the hotel in a taxi and not told anything. We were taken to a service station nearly an hour away with no idea where we were going. It would have been much better, and less stressful, if what was going to happen had been communicated to us.

The feeder taxi arrived on time. And proceeded to another location to pick up two more guest. Unfortunatly they were not there and after waiting some time we left without him The trip was nice traveling around the bay which was beautiful Arrived at Lovran and walked to the shop for the tasting experiance and then onto Opatija Overall an enjoyable experience

Enjoyed: views, variety of places, information from our guide. Convenient drop-off and pick-up locations. Some free time. Could be better: Had to be trusting with transport arrangements. Only info was pick-up at Porec bus station. When there, we were approached by a taxi driver who then took us to Pizan to transfer to coach for the tour. Not made aware of this detail. Similar on return (by same friendly/talkative taxi driver/knew what to expect). More detail on transport would have been better.

Advertised as a half-day excursion but we were out from 8am to 5pm. Guide had some interesting information but it was delivered in a monotonous and long-winded way, so our kids were bored. Unnecessary 15 minute photo stop (could easily have been 5 mins) and 30 minute coffee / tea stop in Opatija was also a waste of time - would have preferred more free time there.
