Lanzarote's mineral-rich volcanic soils are the key to its excellent wines. This morning tour takes you to three wineries to sample some of their award-winning organic wines. Plus, you'll also visit the Monumento del Campesino to see the famous farmer's monument. Teresa, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Our island's wines are the fruit of our ingenuity in harnessing the destruction wrought by Mother Nature into an art – a common thread that weaves together islander and landscape.'After pick-up, you'll head straight for the Monumento del Campesino, designed by legendary Lanzarote architect Cesar Manrique. Built in his trademark style that fused whitewashed structures with volcanic bubbles and exotic plants, it's a joy to explore. Then, it's off to the family-owned Bodega La Geria. Here, vines are shielded from the winds by horseshoe-shaped stone walls, while the humidity retained by the ash helps them grow in this harsh climate. Enjoy a guided tour of the winery and taste some of its prized Malvasia wines.Next, just a few volcanoes up the road, is Bodegas El Grifo – the oldest winery in the Canaries. Housed in a colonial-style hacienda surrounded by cacti, it's been producing wines since 1775. Owned by the Garcia Duran family, its wines are regular prize winners. Rounding off the tour is Bodega Suarez, a charming winery that offers visitors an authentic taste of the island's unique wine culture. Here, you'll indulge in the perfect pairing of cheese with two wines.

Sehr interessante Führung durch die Weingüter. Kompetenter und motivierter Guide. Er beantwortete alle Fragen und ging auf jeden Wunsch ein. Ich persönlich hätte mir mehr Auswahl bei den Probeweinen gewünscht. War aber ein toller Ausflug

Comfortable and interesting. 8 in group, 4 couples. Really great guide, Yannik. Informative but not too much information and he was helpful in answering any additional questions from everyone. Learned about the island and geography as well as wine. Nice wine tastings, enough cheese nibbles to balance wine. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Took about 4 hours which was nice. Relaxed and pleasant atmosphere,

Für mich war es ein super Ausflug, mit netter kleiner Gruppe und versiertem Guide zu Weingütern, die man auch alleine nicht entdeckt hätte. Viele gute Tipps und Infos für Leute, die die Insel schon kennen. Für mich hat das alles so gepasst und Spaß gemacht. Könnte mir nur vorstellen, dass manch anderer sich die Weinprobe anders vorstellt, daher evtl klar machen, dass es mehr um die Weingüter und deren Geschichte auch geht. Ansonsten vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit!

Die Tour ist einfach zu teuer. Dafür das man auf der Tour 4 Weine probiert und 2 Stückchen Käse und Oliven mit Zwieback probiert.

For £75 per head we expected decent transport, which unfortunately the van was not easy to get in and out of. the guide although very nice had no knowledge of the tour and was unable to answer any questions or give us any information about the wine we were tasting or how the wine was made. Etc etc.

Our guide, Jose-Manuel was excellent - his knowledge of the wines and the processes was excellent. It was also great to be in a small group of just 8 people. Only thing that could be improved I would suggest is to spend a bit longer in the tour round El Griffo, that felt a bit rushed.

On the plus side the guide was brilliant. But…..,Described as including a tapas lunch - which was what we got in April 2024. This time we got three tiny slivers of goats cheese, three crackers and half a dozen olives. So we paid £74 each for three half glasses of wine essentially. Not value for money and as a long time TUI customer, extremely disappointed and won’t book excursions again.

Przewodnik Yannic jest bezkonkurencyjny. To skarb, który nalezy pielegnowac. Podczas nastepnego pobytu na Lanzarote ponownie wybiore sie na te wycieczke, pod warunkiem, ze przewodnikiem bedzie Yannic. TUI powinna organizowac wiecej tego rodzaju wycieczek, np. po hodowlach kóz i wytwórniach kozich serów, najlepiej z Yannikiem, jako przewodnikiem.

Excellent being small group of 8 plus driver. Would be better if small amount of different coloured wines given, instead of all white at each of 3 stops. Not everyone likes white wine!

Wir hatten einen tollen und sympathischen Guide, der viel erzählen konnte und sehr offen war. Die Abholung hat gut geklappt und es war besonders toll, dass wir nur eine kleine Gruppe (8 Personen) waren. Wir haben einiges gesehen und geschmeckt :), wobei wir nur 4 Weine probieren konnten und die "Tappas" nur etwas Käse, Oliven und Knäckebrot waren, hier hätten wir ein bisschen mehr erwartet, auch gerne mehr Weinproben für den Preis. Trotzdem ein schönes Erlebnis, das wir weiterempfehlen können.

Our guide Jose Manuel was brilliant and very informative about the Island in general as we were travelling. Thought there would have been more than one wine at the first bodega, they had such a variety for sale but we only tasted one white and were not told about the others.

Für unseren Reiseleiter Jannik geben wir 5 Sterne. Nun man wusste im Voraus wie so eine Tour verläuft. In einer kleinen Gruppe haben wir 3 Bodegas mit der Produktion und Weinmuseum besucht. Der Rotwein wurde uns nur einmalig angeboten. Statt versprochener Tapas gab es in einer Bodega streng abgezählte Oliven, Zwieback und Ziegenkäse. Die Tische in einer Bodega waren mit Müll und Essensresten von der Vorgruppe bedeckt, das Personal war freundlich aber schien uninteressiert zu sein.

Die Tour war sehr interessant, die Infos zu den Weingütern sehr gut und umfangreich. Die Fahrt in einer kleinen Gruppe von 8 Leuten angenehm und die Gespräche während der Tour interessant. Einziger Vermutstropfen nur die Abholung nur vom benachbarten Hotel

Our guide was brilliant, very friendly and knowledgeable. Didn’t get his name unfortunately. Great information about the island, the vineyards and the wine. Really nice small group size. It would’ve been nice to learn more about how to taste wine, the smell etc, rather than drinking 3 bottles of wine between 5 of us.

Der Guide war super. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, dass wir nur in einer kleinen Gruppe unterwegs waren (6 Personen). Wir haben viele tolle Informationen erhalten (auf Deutsch und Englisch). Der Besuch der Weingüter war super und das Topas-Essen sehr lecker. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn wir in den beiden Weingütern nicht nur einen Wein probiert hätten. Statt einer ganzen Weinflasche für die Gruppe wären jeweils zwei kleine Gläser zwei verschiedener Weine besser gewesen.

Die Landschaft und die Weinberge waren sehr beeindruckend. Bei der Weinverkostung gab es jeweils nur ein Wein zur Probe. Die Auswahl der Tapas war er mäßig bis enttäuschend. Die Getränke bei der Verkostung waren minimiert auf ein Glas. Schade

Unser Tourguide Leo war super, er hat tolle Infos weitergegeben, war sehr sympathisch, angenehm und lustig. Die Tour wurde durch ihn zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis, welches wir nur jedem weiterempfehlen können.

Hätte lieber noch mehr Weine verkostet bzw. noch weitere Bodegas von innen gesehen, statt mittags Tapas zu essen. Zu so früher Stunde ist man vom Frühstück eigentlich noch satt ! - Sehr gut gefallen hat mir die geringe Gruppengröße und die Information, dass TUI einen Teil der Einnahmen für die Förderung des ökologischen Weinbaus auf Lanzarote investiert (So habe ich den Guide zumindest verstanden).

Der Guide war super und konnte sehr viel über die Insel berichten. Man hat ihm die Liebe zur Insel und zu dem Projekt "Bio-Wein" angemerkt und das hat komplett mitgerissen. Rundum ein schönes Erlebnis, das ich genau so wieder buchen würde.
