Meet your local guide for the day and board on small comfortable coach to depart to Pompeii, passing the beautiful towns along the Amalfi drive. Upon arrival, have an approximate 2.30-hour ruins visit. Get the chance to explore one of Europe's most compelling excavation sites in Pompeii. You will have a unique insight into ancient city life. After lunch, depart for Mount Vesuvius. The bus takes you 1000 meters up the volcano, then you will be escorted by a guide to the summit. From here, enjoy views over the southern part of the volcano and, during days with good visibility, the entire gulf of Naples. On the journey back, visit one of the region's most prestigious cameo and coral factories to see the production of typical Italian carvings.

Great
Alessandra was a brilliant guide, very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We were happy to eat lunch at the suggested venue however not happy at being told ‘paying by card was a problem’. We had very little cash with us because we had assumed that being in a first world country in the EU meant card payment in a hotel venue would be a given. Equally on the Vesuvius part of the trip, having used our little paper money for lunch meant we couldn’t buy water because the vendors only accepted cash
