The weather wasn t great which I know can t be planned for - couldn t see much on train ride and also couldn t do rock statues at all. However to walk a tour group through a town for 15 mins to a museum which is never open on a Monday shows poor planning!! Also didn t particularly rate the place for lunch - little choice, expensive for what it was and no alternative places although had been built up by guide as amazing place which makes you feel they must have been on commission.

The train journey part of the trip is meant to be a short journey on small mountain train to view the beautiful panoramic scenery, In reality you are all rammed into the carriages, as there are so many other tours visiting at the same time, and you therefore get to see nothing, as you are more concerned about keeping upright and not standing on other people’s toes. The times of the journey could be planned so other tour groups where not using the train at the same time.

Our guide was friendly and well informed. She managed the group well with humour, keeping to the timings. The trip had different components, ie Bolzano, cable car and rail journey which complemented each other well. We were fortunate with the weather and the views were spectacular. There were opportunities for comfort breaks. It was a shame that the museum was closed so we didn’t have the opportunity of seeing Otsi, however I suspect that viewing him would have put us under some time pressure.

I thoroughly enjoyed this trip - the tour was extremely knowledgeable & very friendly. The bus driver was brilliant at navigating the narrow & hairpin bends. Not everyone was able to sit on the train, but it was such a lovely ride with beautiful views, which I thought made up for the slight inconvenience

Enjoyed the experience . Guide went out of her way to make sure we had a lovely time . However . 2xhourscin Bolzano too long . Canke car experience amazing . Train ride broke all health and safety rules . Absolutely packed . Even our guide didn't make it . Not a,great experience . Spoiled it for everyone. Restaurant wonderful .

The train trip was worthless . You couldn't see anything,train was packed with people . On arrival to destination no time to explore , we were taken to a restaurant.The excursion was clearly advertised no suitable for those with walking difficulties however they were allowed on trip . Therefore consideration had to be given to them which slowed the group down. That shouldn't be allowed to book when severe walking restrictions . Not impressed . Guide and driver couldn't do much . Tui rep fault !

The only part of this tour i dislike was the train part. We were on the train which was to full and i and my wife were pushed against the train window and they were still more people being allowed on. Not a good way to travel. The rest of the tour spot on glad we seen this part on Italy. The tour guide was very good.

The cable car had good views. However, Bolzano was not a great destination with no guarantees of how long it may take to see the infamous iceman. Maybe if there had been more time to explore the area, the perception of Bolzano might have improved. In our opinion the train ride failed to deliver the promise of great panoramic views. The coach trip to our destination was long, which meant breakfast was missed and Bolzano ultimately underwhelmed. The tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable.

A very long day from Bardolino,12 hours there and back with a very early start. Our guide was excellent, cheerful, knowledgeable and quietly organised the group. Bolzano is interesting and the train ride was through beautiful countryside. The lunch venue had a very limited menu and the soup we chose was very salty. The weather on the day of our trip was atrocious. Due to the heavy rain and low cloud the highlights of the trip could not be experienced. Also due to the heavy rainfall travelling time was considerably increased, this resulted in a 12 hour day for the trip. Given what I understand about the weather forecast and the operators local knowledge, serious consideration of cancelling this trip should have been taken. Even if this was done on the morning of the trip.

We were disappointed not to be able to gain access to the archeological museum in Bolzano. This was not the fault of the guide, but due to rain earlier in the day.and too many people visiting the museum to escape it. Unfortunate circumstances being the cause. Otherwise the trip was enjoyable.

Overall an ok trip, it is a long day trip, around 7hrs on the bus. Bolzano was lovely and around the right amount of time to look round. There was another wait after the cable car for the train with not much to do and no real direction from the guide. The train was really busy and again having to stand up and thus not really been able to see loads. At the earth pyramids , which was good to see, time was cut short there and was rushed Then 4 hrs on the bus back to Garda ....

The day was amazing. The guide was very knowledgeable about all different subjects about the area we visited and the areas we drove through as well. The time in Bolzano was just right and the cable car experience was great. The last stop was a bit rushed but that’s was down to waiting for a local train.

The train was overcrowded, the guide seemed quite timid and new. Others (general public )pushed into the queue for the cable car, so 2 plus the guide had to come in a separate car. The guide told us to go to the gusthof for lunch, quite expensive, when there was a cafe at the pyramids, which would've been quicker and cheaper. The museum in Bolzano had over an hour queue, because of the rain, so we didn't get to see the ice man. Long journey times, poor trip

Unfortunately we found our guide poor, she wasn’t clear in delivery on the coach, told us the Bolzano museum was closed (Mon) when it wasn’t and other than telling us what time to be on the coach we could have done without. Cable car/train was smooth but train was cramped. We were told this trip was “less bus” but 7 hours on the bus was loooooong.

Firstly we were unaware, at the time of booking with the rep, the length of the day and the start time of 7.20 AM. We couldn’t have breakfast at the hotel as breakfast at our hotel.started at 7.30AM. and had to wait until we arrived at Bulzano before we could get even a drink. Before arriving Bulzano we made a stop for just 15 minutes and were told we couldn’t bring drinks on the bus and not to get drinks as it would take too long. In Bulzano the museum was closed so all we could do was wander

Felt it was poorly advertised. The train ride was poor due to the train being crammed full of passengers so view was limited as people were standing in carriages, it felt like being on the tube in London. The cable car was very similar, very packed, with limited view. The two stops were pleasant but limited with time in comparison to travel on coach.

A long coach journey there and back but incredible scenery. Guide/driver were excellent. Alpacas an added bonus. Would be better if going from Garda there wasn’t a Riva pick up as this was a significant detour and added time on in both directions.

Overall the trip was very good however the amount of time spent on the coach was too much. You need to look at the amount of pickup and drop off points as this extended the time on the coach making it a 12 hour day and not 8 as advertised. Our return trip to Garda was 4 hours

Enjoyed everything apart from the food in the chosen restaurant. It was three of us sitting on a table, all of us did note rate the food and thought it was overpriced, checked with other guests and also said that the trip was amazing but not the food. Staff were friendly and nice at the restaurant, maybe just change the chef?

The contents of the tour and visits were well planned, the guide was knowledgable with all aspects of the day, the only issue was the length of the day. With hold ups and traffic it turned into a 12 hour day, this had an effect on the evening where we literally returned to the hotel, showered, changed and had our evening meal and that was it. If the length of the day had been explained to us at the welcome meeting we would quite possibly not chosen that trip.

Enjoyed exploring Bolzano. Was disappointed after cable car and train ride that the hotel we stopped at did not provide a menu or prices for drinks or snacks/ cakes only provided a menu for a main meal, which we didn’t want. Felt they could charge whatever they wanted and because of torrential rain they had our custom whatever. The train was extremely busy- packed in like sardines and this reduced the enjoyment of a relaxed panoramic train ride as we ended up standing.

We were really looking forward to this trip but found it very rushed not enough time in Bolzona , and at the top of the Cable car ride we had to get straight on the train , which was so busy we were packed in like sardines , very disappointed with not having any time to take some pictures and have a walk round before the train ride.

The tour was OK, I thought expensive though for what it was, the tour guide was OK not great, it seemed a little bit odd at times, the panoramic train ride could of been nice if we was seated very packed and uncomfortable on the train as we was having to stand, one lady nearly got off when the train stopped at 1st station as it was not explained that we was to stay on until the last stop, some beautiful views from cable car, overall I'd say it was OK i would not say value for money,

If you do not want to go to the museum in Bolzano the time there is to long. Would have rather had some time to look round Oberbozen before getting on the train. With the money paid I would have expected to have the cable car and train carriages to our group as both were overcrowded so we were unable to admire the views

Having done this trip in the past the timings from bolsano to the cable car is to rushed the train as last time was full with only standing room packed in like sardines not enjoyable not particularly scenic either in that situation

Excellent guide, clear and had lots of interesting information., who looked out for everyone. The cable car exceeded expectations and the little train was great apart from there not being enough seating. The only downside was the traffic on the way back which prolonged the day a bit too much.

Pros & Cons. Motorway service stop was a little too short, with been up & bus was due at 0719, no time for breakfast. Will add that it was no fault of the guide. What we visited was wonderful & you would never see the views unless you went on this tour. Cons was gettingb picked up at 0719 & others 1.5 hours down the road also getting picked up same time. Value for money, yes most definately, would do it again & coach was was 100% full

The duration of this experience says 8 hours but in fact it is nearer 12 with the travelling. The scenery was stunning. Didn't know it was only a one way cable cat and train trip.

We spent more time travelling than in the actual resorts. The guide didn’t give any thought for the people with limited mobility. Returning to the bus in Bolzano to catch the cable car was so frantic that one lady had a fall but the guide was so far ahead one of our party had to go and tell her why we had stopped. We were then told once the bus stopperd and get in the cable car without her or we would miss our train . This happened because our party were waiting for her. A very long day.

We enjoyed the views up the eastern side of the lake, but it took time picking up others in Riva del Garda and doubled back on ourselves. Bolzano seemed a nice town, but we only had time to visit the museum & Ötzi before making the rendezvous. If maps were available on the coach it would save time. The cable car and train were pleasant, we had just enough time in Renon for lunch and the pyramids but not much else. It was nice to see a different part of Italy.

Bolzano wasn't what I was expecting the city was big and some of it quaint as was expecting. The cable car was good and the train was over busy we had to stand in the end of the train as you got on so had little views of the area on the 20 min ride. Renon area was great the stop off for drinks and Apple strudel very nice. Walled to the pyramids which were OK. Overall not one tour I would recommend with a 1.5hr journey to get there.

The coach air conditioning was very poor, especially as it was a very hot day. I would summarise the guide's attitude as being "simply going through the motions". The information provide on the coach was limited, and mostly inaudible, without any checking for confirmation of understanding. Instructions and key information was not made clear without re-checking. The cable car was OK. The train ride was poor with standing room only. Taken to the middle of nowhere with only 1 option for lunch.

We had to cancel the trip due to my wife having food poisoning picked up from a local restaurant the day before we were due to go and being as it was so close we were told that we would not get any of our money back due to it being within the 7 days cancellation however this would never have been applied as the tour was booked up 5 days before when we were in the resort. We will not being booking tours with you again and have already booked our next holiday with another tour operator.

The Overall Experience was Fantastic. Scenery was Amazing. The only disappointing part of the Excursion was the Train Ride as was a Very Short Journey about 10 mins in a very small overpacked train.

I feel the whole trip was very well executed and the guide was extremely knowledgeable it can't be helped but the travel was quite alot and feel this should be clearly explained to your customers but generally really happy and loved the whole experience.

The lady guide was very difficult to understand and because of this we felt we missed out on eating options in Bolzano The’scenic’ train journey was awful, no organisation from the guide and we spent the whole journey standing up and unable to relax, my sister is 76 Lunch stop ended up being at a hotel, approximately 2.30, where there was only a choice of full meals and nothing that we found suitable for a light lunch I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone because of this

First of all we enjoyed the cable car and train rides as scenery was spectacular. We did not enjoy the length of the day (12 hours).Tour guide was disappointing, she seemed disorganised and hard to follow which basically made you switch off.

The guide was obviously not happy in her job.the information she provided was bland and repeated several times. Clearly did not want to engage in conversations with customers. Took every occasion to separate herself from the group. Sadly not impressed.

The only downside was when we arrived at Bolzano the Market was closed the guide told us the museum was closed so we couldnt see the ice man one of the reasons why we booked only to be told by another couple on the coach that it was actually open and we could have seen him, The rest of the trip was very good and would recommend this trip

Shame Bolzano is under so much construction but that can’t be helped . Cable car was fantastic as was the train. Walk to earth pyramids optional and distance explained, cafe or hotel for food. Would suggest that South Lake pick ups don’t also pick up in Riva as that adds a lot to an already long day . Riva should be on the North Lake pickup or a taxi given to a closer spot. Picking up in Riva meant that Garda and Bardolino guests had a 3 hour 20 minute transfer time home and 3 hours transfer in

An enjoyable day visiting Bolzano followed by a cable car into the mountains to get on the scenic train before ending the trip seeing the earth pyramids. TUI offer this trip on a Monday, but please note that the museum where you can see Otzi, the Iceman is not generally open on Mondays! We were lucky as the Monday we visited was a public bank holiday and as such the museum was open.
