Northern Corfu is all idyllic villages, monuments and rugged coastline. Head into sun-dappled rolling hills to discover Achillion Palace, the scenic Paleokastritsa coast and many other delights. There's also a visit to a kumquat distillery to sample this trademark Corfu liqueur. Spiros, one of our local guides, says, ‘Kumquat liqueur is a uniquely Corfu phenomenon – it's made nowhere else in Greece. It's a part of our Corfiot identity. To learn how this Asian fruit came to the island is a real eye-opener.'You'll visit some of Corfu's top attractions. First up is Achillion Palace. The palace boasts stirring views of the Corfu coast, and the meticulously landscaped gardens are a work of art. Spiros adds, ‘Empress Sissi of Austria was enamoured with Corfu and its mythological heritage, particularly the story of Achilles, and the palace and gardens are filled with sculptures of Greek gods and goddesses.' Such a great tour, you get to see some incredible parts of the island that are much more difficult alone due to transport limitations. The only downside was we didn’t get much time at each place like Paleokastritsa. We had 1.5 hours which was just enough for lunch and a short walk around. This is due to the amount of places you see on the tour though so it’s understandable. Worth the money if you are in Corfu. Very informative

This was a fabulous trip with great driver, knowledgeable guide and fascinating places to visit. We were very concerned about doing this trip after our terrible experience on Sunday doing your sights of Corfu town (guide and tour terrible) However, this trip was worth every penny!

First I would like to say that since I booked the holiday with TUI the service I have had before, during and at end of holiday has been really excellent. This Achillion Palace and Paleokastritsa tour was really enjoyable and interesting and the tour guide (Sofia) was excellent.

The coach transfer from hotel to scheduled meeting place was a bit of a debacle. 60 mins to get to,the airport to watch planes land was a waste of time! Then we get on coach are introduced to driver and tour guide then get off coach to watch planes for another 25 mins. Trip to Achilleion Palace was excellent albeit the Palace was under renovation. We had lots of photo stops at amazing places, and lunch in Palaiokastritsa overlooking the sea was lovel! Huge shout out to coach driver - excellent!

The day was far too long too many stops that we hadn’t been told about prior to going on the trip. Guide was amazing so knowledgeable. Eating place was recommended by the guide but my meal was cold and my husband’s overcooked. Felt like we had to rush the meal then felt uncomfortable the rest of the trip.

Driver and tour guide were excellent. We spent 2 and a half hours picking up passengers! Achilleion Palace was closed (our reason for booking trip) and so could only visit the gardens. Small stops for toilets-no coffee stops. Kumquat Distillery closed for viewing so we watched a video. Lunch at Paleo had one vegan option and salad and chips. After lunch and the boat trip we were back on the coach- no time to look round Paleo. The trip lasted 11 hours! We wasted a whole day of our holiday.

La guide impeccable, le chauffeur de même, par contre la ballade en bateau qui est possible de faire pour 15 euros par personne,notre navigateur,n'a parler que en italien pour charmer le groupe d'italienne à bord,pour les autres,nul,avons payé 45 euros pour nous trois,un gâchis, et un non respect. De plus j'ai dû m'assoir sur le caisson moteur,honteux.

I was charged £63 pp for a tour which was priced £54 on your app. The £63 tour should have been a small group tour which this wasn’t. Achillion Palace disappointing , gardens need work. At that price I would expect lunch to be included. We did not visit the monastery as advertised and pictured but were taken to a nunnery, down some steps to a small courtyard and a church. We were given a 20 min lecture before being herded back onto the bus. Overpriced, not as described, very disappointing.

Your rep,at Amorossa sold us the trip but it failed to deliver what she said it would. We were promised time in Corfu, particularly the old town, we never once stopped, we were shown Mouse Island from a distance, got actually no where near it and drove out of the town without stopping. She further said you must see the Achilleion palace and gardens, failing to say it was closed, the gardens are in very poor state, complete waste of time, as was the whole trip. The trip never got any better,

Alex the guide was great, constantly updating us with facts. Coach drivers also fabulous. I was annoyed I wasn't informed the palace was being updated so we couldn't go inside but the gardens were beautiful as was the monastery. It's quite a long day but you do see a lot and there's multiple stops to use toilet, stretch legs and get food. I don't think the last stop is needed though. Overall enjoyed, you see a lot of the Island this way

Schöne Einblicke in den Norden und der Guide, Sofia, hatte viele interessante Informationen über die Geschichte Korfus, Einfluss der Venezianer, Napoleon und Briten. Über das Leben der Einwohner- vom Farmer zum Tourismus. Oliven, Olivenernte , Weinbau. Immer passend zu dem Abschnitt, durch den wir fuhren! Paleokastritsa und die Bootstour sind empfehlenswert. Es ist einfach eine schöne Tour, um sehr viel von Korfu zu sehen und zu erfahren- vor allem als erster Kontakt zur Insel!

Spent over an hour going up and down the same road picking people up. Over 3 hours spent on coffee and food stops. Taken to a kumquat distillery, not previously told about in schedule and purely a commercial exercise. Details said 4 to 8 hours but it was 10 hours. Guide never gave time to ask questions but kept repeating her script.

Pros: Tour guide and driver were great. Achillion Palace, Palaiokastritsa, Kumquat factory and visit near airport very enjoyable. Cons: Spent over 6 and a half hours on the coach throughout the day. Included several stops that we weren't aware of when booking, that we'd have preferred not to have done. We didn't arrive back at our hotel until nearly 8pm but were told we'd probably be back around 6:00 - 6:30pm. We had 2 children with u, so were very mindful of duration and content when booking.

The Achillion Palace was a beautiful area. Unfortunately the Palace was closed for renovation and had been for sometime. It would have been very useful to have known this prior to booking as it would have influenced our decision to book the tour. The tour guide was clearly very knowledgeable about the island, some of which was very interesting. It was an excellent trip. A very informative and enthusiastic guide. Enjoyed all the stops. Highlight was the boat trip to the caves. The description stated between 4 - 8 hours and in reality it was over 9 hours. We had dinner reservations and had to go straight to the restaurant without time for shower and freshen and a change of clothes. That was the only negative. The guide should state at the beginning how long it was going to be.

Far too much time on the coach - if we would have been told how much time would be spent travelling we would have never booked. The boat/cave trip that was recommended wasn’t great either - the boat was packed with as many people as possible - we were sat in the middle and couldn’t see anything that was being described due to the amount of people on the boat.

The Guide = Sophia . from the Hellenic Tour booked via TUI was exceptional. in all aspects. Made sure we were all able to hear ( I am hard of hearing) assisted where steps of old building were a dit dodgey from ancient age. So patient with everybody so no stress at all. Full if information and made sure we saw the best views. Full of information and I know all out passengers were delighted. One of our best ever tour guides.

This is an amazing tour, just bring a sick bag if you get travel sick as there are lots of twists and turns. Our tour guide Georgia was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable. It was very interesting learning all of the history and facts about Corfu. The driver was very confident and good at his job. The stops along the way were great for taking nice pictures.

Bien dans l’ensemble. Le seul bémol, la visite du monastère qui n’a pas pu être faite. Monastère fermé au heure où nous étions sur le site. Pourtant il est bien précisé dans les consignes de réservation de prévoir des vêtements couvrant les épaules et les jambes pour le site religieux.

Although the guide was obviously very knowledgeable, I found it difficult to understand most of what she was saying because of her style of delivery. In the end I gave up trying, and so did a lot of the other people on the trip. However, the arrangements for the pick up and return to hotel were excellent, and the driver was exceptional! How he managed some of those roads and situations was impressive! He deserves a pay rise orca promotion...or both! Apart from the guide, the trip was excellent.

Great guide and driver. Palace waste of time really, only gardens and nothing special. Trip interesting around the island but found it too long and tiring. The kumqyat factory was interesting though and lovely people there. Paleo was too touristy even on a quiet day. Would nit holiday there. Like nissaki. Xx

The boat trip was good, visiting the Palace was OK but we spent a lot of time travelling then getting off for a photo and then back on to the next stop. The visit to the monestry was a little disappointing, I was hoping for a larger building with grounds but the tour guides knowledge on it was interesting.

Would not recommend. We booked to see Achilles Palace and Paleokastritsa Monastery. Palace was closed (which has been for months; shown posters of ‘here’s what is inside). Went to Monastery area but told bus couldn’t get up to it. Boat trip cancelled citing ‘wind’ but other boats went out. Guide pushed a long lunch and did not say we could walk short distance to the monastery (which we found out but it had closed at 1pm) siting it was ‘unfair’ to those with disabilities. Waste of time.

Helen was amazingly knowledgeable and gave wonderful insights both on and out of the bus. Cannot fault her or our driver Niks at all. Only recommendation would be to perhaps be mindful of guests with limited mobility. At the Palace, some of us struggled to climb stairs quickly and got out of range of the radios. Just a slower pace or grouping together would be perfect!

I enjoyed all the places we visited with particular praise to our guide, Georgia, who was brilliant! She was so knowledgeable and interesting and keen to interact with us. I can't praise her enough. I was a bit surprised at how quick our visit to the Paleokatstritsa Monastery was, think the information should've explained its brevity.

The palace was disappointing as you couldn’t go in. Spent too long on the coach and not enough time at the destinations to explore. Was told to follow guide for lunch which was not what we were expecting. Made to feel uncomfortable as wasn’t our choice. Was not told we could go somewhere else for lunch. The boat trip was optional but again was not made clear and everyone ended up going on that also.

The amount of places we saw was excellent. Beautiful scenery with an excellent and very knowledgeable tour guide and great driver. We did feel a little let down that the kumquat distillery was just a place for us to spend money and not actually see the process.

Too much time on the coach, you're trying to fit too much in. There were 3 20 minute stops and an hour and a half for lunch. We were out for 10 hours. That's 7 and a half hours on the coach. The bus left before the hotel had served breakfast, and didn't stop for lunch until 6 hours later. The one 20 minute break before then wasn't enough time to eat. The distillery visit was really only a visit to the shop, and the monastery was rushed as well. The guide and driver were excellent.

Globalement bien notamment la guide et le fait d'être en petit groupe Visites palais ok paléo aussi Pas de ballade ds le jardin du monastère pas de vue Dommage bateau et resto en plus Visites boutique kumquat et autre d'olives uniquement pour a ça heter Même si on a goûté c'est un prétexte Dommage de ne pas s'être arrêté pour les vues panoramiques aucun intérêt a regarder a travers les vitres d'un bus encore plus avec les gens devant très déçue de ce point Dommage de ne pas s'est arrêté sur les

The Achillion Palace grounds are beautiful, such a shame the renovations of the actual palace are taking so long, so were unable to go inside. Our short stay in Paleokastritsa with a boat trip was my favourite part of the day. Positives were: - Lots of beautiful scenery to see - Very welcoming, knowledgeable and personable guide, thank you Georgia - Very experienced coach driver, thank you George - A full day of exploring Negatives: - roads are high and tight and not for the faint hearted!

Georgia - an excellent guide - good to hear about life in Corfu today as well as the history George - an excellent patient driver A very good range of things fitted into the tour with about the right amount of time in each place Knowledge when booking of the planned timing and location for lunch would have been helpful

The sites were beautiful and interesting. Just enough packed for the day. Loved the history and palleokastristas was amazing! The guide was very knowledgeable! Kept us informed of the itinerary well in advance including the comfort breaks. She was very passionate about the history. Georgia kept us entertained too with her stories.

This tour was perfect for taking in corfu taking you off the beaten track, we had an amazing tour guide called sofia who really knew her stuff she was excellent she was very welcoming and is a credit to tui, the bus took you right up in the mountains where some excellent driving skills were needed, achillion was beautiful and you spend just the right amount of time there, we stopped to take in views of corfu it was amazing m, you need to take some swimming bits as you stay at a beautiful bay too

Achillean Palace was the best, followed by Paleokastrika. As we were almost the first to be picked up and the last to be dropped off then the amount of travel was too much. Georgia was a very good guide and George and excellent driver

Very informative guide. Excellent driver. Interesting and informative itinerary. Only downside was being the first pickup and last drop off - it was 1 hour 45 minutes after being picked up before our first itinerary stop despite being circa 30 minutes from our hotel.

Our guide Sofia was excellent, she had an amazing knowledge of the area and told the story of Corfu so eloquently. Also hats off to our driver, he negotiated the roads and narrow village streets so well he made it look easy. I’d recommend the excursion. You learn so much about Corfu and see more of the beautiful island. We thought the trip was excellent value for money.

It was a very long day, a bit expensive considering lunch or refreshments weren't provided. I noticed that some guests couldn't enjoy all the experience as there were lots of stairs which weren't discussed on booking. But it was a fantastic day, the guide was very knowledgeable.

The hotel rep was again, helpful and informative, however, as a very pleasant surprise the tour actually included a lot more locations than described in the itinerary and confirmation email. The coach driver (Dimitri) was excellent and skilful. The guide on the coach (Helen) was exceptional. She was extremely knowledgable, helpful and enthusiastic. We really enjoyed this tour and gave us a more comprehensive feel for the island and it’s history

Did not like initial 2 hours picking up other guests. Did not envisage going north from resort then east and south instead of going immediately south east. Excessive amount of time on feeder bus and main coach. Achillon palace interesting but vould have stayed longer.
