Good taxi service to and from train, kind driver/guide, great panoramic view from Monastery if you are able to climb 85 steps, great little farm visit with enthusiastic welcome and mozzarella-making demo with well organised product tasting. Limoncello tasting ok. We really enjoyed the trip - only real comment would be to check that summary of tour actually matches what is included! E.g. no limoncello making workshop. A very enjoyable 3+ hours

Really nice tour. We have been to Sorrento previously so have seen a lot of sights. This was a little different and we saw a lot of the peninsular we wouldn’t have seen if we hadn’t been in the train. The wine tasting snd mozzarella making was really good although the limoncello making was a bit disappointing - thought we’d see more but then the process is very easy. Driver was really pleasant and offered a good guide of the area.

Nice half day trip just right amount of people. Very informative guide. Not really suitable for anyone with mobility issues due to lots of steps and steep incline to walk up, but overall a great experience ??

Great experience which we thoroughly enjoyed & found very interesting. This was our 4th time but we always learn something new & enjoy repeating the previous experiences. Love the Limoncello Factory best. We were sorry not to see the previous driver from past years but Francesco the new driver was lovely and is doing a good job now too.

Little train was fine and the commentary and guide ok but the experiences were not as advertised. The mozzarella making, the olive oil and wine tasting were all done at the same venue, and the lemoncello factory visit was just a talk about the manufacturing process in a small shop with various tastings of the product. The trip back seemed to take forever.

Really fun trip and Francesco our guide was very good. Sometimes hard to hear the commentary on the train but the music was a good dash of Italian. Got to see places we would never have seen and plenty of food and lemoncillo tasting.

We really enjoyed this trip. Fantastic views of bay of Naples and bay of Palermo and Capri, couldn’t believe how close it was. Great to see the villages and coast of the Massa Lubrense area. Farm was smaller than expected but the family were so lovely and very friendly. We saw them making cheese and we got to taste it plus some other bits and a glass of wine then on to a Lemoncello factory and tastings. Recommended!

Excellent excursion which we enjoyed very much indeed. The guide, Francesco, was very knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. We very much enjoyed all the stops on the tour which were very interesting and everyone was very welcoming. A particular highlight for us was the mozzarella making at the Palazzo Raja which is a fantastic place with spectacular views. Would highly recommend as a very pleasant excursion.

The train driver was a happy chappy & kept the customers entertained. It was a good way to see some of Italy & sample some local cuisine. The only grumble was that the same tour was advertised under 2 different descriptions - I booked to do a mountain & sample some local cuisine tour & others on it though they were visiting a local lemon grove to see the making of lemoncella & sample it.

Train driver is always fantastico which is why I hesitate to write a negative review but feel TUI should know our true experience. Loved the train ride (5th year we have done it and always LOVED it previously). We were expecting to be picked up by the train at the hotel as normal. Minibus arrived with a horrible driver who didn’t bother to understand my confusion but instead ridiculed me loudly to the rest of the bus. Very nasty and made me very upset and embarrassed. Ruined the experience

A lovely morning spent on the little train, travelling around the villages above the bay of Sorrento. Visits to a limoncello maker and a residence with a beautiful little church to taste olive oil and homemade marmalade. The driver was very entertaining and knowledgeable. Would recommend.

Tui staff were excellent especially Saul. Hotel was in need of some attention. Food was good but was not as good or varied as during our last visit 9 years ago. Room was poor with dreadful outlook but the bathroom was lovely. The Amalfi excursion would have been wonderful but there was just too much to fit in in one day so too rushed. Loved the noddy train. Lots of things to do in the hotel. Generally a good experience

It was a bit difficult to hear and understand what the guide was saying when he driving in his cab so any information he was giving no one knew what it was about and if you was at the back of the que he did not wait till we was all together to tell us information, the first drop it was a shock for some with the amount of stairs which no information was given on site so some of the visitors were a bit unhappy, so that said our selves did enjoy apart from the things mentioned

Amazing trip loads of lovely places to see off the beaten track guide was funny and knowledgeable Only downside was comfort of train as we were crammed like sardines on each bench 4 to each bench and when one of those four is a very large man the rest of us had an uncomfortable and claustrophobic experience Please consider limiting to 3 per bench to make the experience better

Enjoyed the route of this trip especially the monastery and the location of the ‘tasting’ bit of the trip. Found the comfort of the train could be improved. Due to the number of steps involved however I don’t think it’s such a great trip for anyone with mobility problems but I can’t recall seeing anything about this prior to booking.

Loved the trip the driver/guide was fantastic and so funny,,,,,only downer was the weather, it was torrential rain, and were unable to see any views, had to have the plastic windows down, but obviously this isn’t TUI’s fault,,,I had pre booked the trip before I arrived in Sorrento, so no one could have predicted the horrendous weather,,,will have another go when I come back, but all in all it was fun and as a solo traveller I got to meet some lovely people ?? Would highly recommend this trip.

Travelling on the golfi train, is always entertaining. The driver is brilliant at telling us what we're going to see and taste. We knew that I couldn't climb up on to the roof, but I was a little disappointed not to be able too walk all the way to the mozzarella tasting shop. They had provided some of these stock but not everything.

Great trip which lets you see lots of places you probably wouldn’t go yourself. Driver was a character who had us all laughing. Some snacks and drinks at 2 of the 3 stops which were lovely. Train felt a bit like a roller coaster on the downhill bends but it was all part of the fun.

What a super trip , our driver clearly loves his job and his fun approach was infectious. We got to see some lovely scenery and views of the coastline from the hillside , along with a chance to sample local foods and a visit to a small limoncello factory was the icing on the cake !

Great little tour stopping off a few times to admire the view’s, climbing up a lot of stairs in a monastery, sampling bread and marmalade with vino and having a few shots of limoncello. 3 hours well worth it.

Great land train excursion, we saw some beautiful places, had great food and tasted some local food and alcohol. Chino was the best tour guide I have met, very entertaining! Would be good to cater for those with dietary requirements on excursions.

This trip not suitable for people like myself with hip/knee replacements who cannot manage lots steps/stairs. I was unable to climb stairs to top of Monestary & really struggled to climb steps to where refreshments/toilets were with views to die for. There were no handrails at all. Still enjoyed trip but got stressed.

The overall trip was good, the views from the places we stopped at were amazing. The only thing that let the trip down was the guides “bad English” it was very hard to understand him when he was telling all about the tour. He was very funny and had lots energy, it was only his “bad English” that let the tour down. You might also add to your tour information about the 85 steps upto the first Stops viewing point. The were 2 people on our trip that couldn’t make it up there, so the missed out!

Fabulous tour with a fun guide. The panoramic view from the monastery bell tower was gorgeous. Stopped for mozzarella and flavoured olive oil tasting. (No pressure to buy if you didn't want to) Toilet available and cold water to buy. Some people booked restaurant for later in their stay to experience the sunset with restaurant offering transport. Next stop, Lemoncello tasting/demonstration. Lovely breeze as we travelled along sounding the horn to alert other road users. Recommend.

The man driving the train was so full of life and he made all the passengers feel very welcome and it was his aim to give us a very enjoyable excursion ,we would do this one again and again.

Great morning. Our driver was fun, although difficult to understand at times. There were a lot of steps involved to get to the first viewpoint and the restaurant, but the views were worth it! I had put 2 & 2 together and made 5, so had imagined going to a mozzarella cheese farm as well as the limoncello factory (which was just a shop with a bar in reality), so was slightly disappointed when we simply went to a restaurant where we tried some food that was for sale. Bought some lemon oil - yum!!

Chino the driver was knowledgeable, friendly and really made this trip. We loved the selection of visits. The limoncello place bloke seemed fed up though. So maybe looking at this part but everything else was amazing.

A great trip on the land train. It would have been nice to know where we would be stopping off, in advance of the trip. Amusing & fun driver who made the trip come To life. Some good places to stop with lovely views over Sorrento & good amount of tasters of limoncello, mozzarella, marmalade & oils etc. lots fitted in to a short amount of time. Overall a great trip had

Italian drivers moving and overtaking our vehicle leave you feeling very nervous! The trip was very good, with great panoramic views and not rushed.

A different view of the Sorrento area. Three stops including a little tastings of lemon products. Views at each stop are excellent giving a feel for the geography of the peninsula coasts.

So much fun - Driver very knowledgable and passionate about the surrounding areas - he knew lots of people who would beep their horn and he would use the train horn to respond - All the adults loved the trip - highly recommended - great value for money

Ciro, the train driver and guide is an absute star. Great guide, very funny and the star of the show. Some fantastic views across the 2 bays. Really enjoyed the trip and recommend to everyone.

A terrific trip which was fun and varied. Spectacular views from a lovely land train carriage. Plenty of room as not full. The driver was lively and funny and even drove us home in his car ! You just need to be aware that there is a fair bit of steps climbing involved if you want to maximise the experience.
