Wat te verwachten
Varen met zonsondergang én op expeditie naar dolfijnen, dat is volgens ons de perfecte combinatie. Op deze avondtocht vaar je met een supersnelle boot weg van de kust van Puerto del Carmen. Je missie? Dolfijnen spotten en de zon in zee zien zakken. Hadden we al verteld dat er Cava en taart aan boord zijn?De Biosfera zet vroeg in de avond koers vanuit de haven van Puerto del Carmen. Je kapitein laat je twee uur lang dé plekken in zee zien waarvan hij weet dat de dolfijnen hier vaak rondflipperen. Dat je ze ziet, is niet gegarandeerd. Maar dat de schipper zijn best doet, wel. Op heel veel boottochten laten de dolfijnen zich zien. Aan boord is er allerlei informatie over dolfijnen te vinden. En als de boot over de golven vaart, zit jij aan de Cava en gebak.Al snel is het tijd voor de volgende grote show: zonsondergang. De kleur van vandaag hangt af van het weer en de wolken, maar roze, goud en rood zijn hier de favoriete kleuren van de zon. Onderweg naar onze thuishaven vaart de Biosfera langs vulkanische kliffen en afgelegen grotten. Deze avond is magisch.

Unfortunately we did not see any dolphins but was a good boat trip. Would definitely recommend taking a jacket as gets really cold out at sea. Shame about the dolphins but was good fun nevertheless.

Sadly we didn’t see Dolphins though of course this can never be guaranteed. There was an ‘incident’ on the boat with a very drunk couple who started to perform ********** acts on each other! The captain however was very very professional and turned the boat around and took them immediately back to the port. He should be commended! Unfortunately it did mean our trip was cut short by 1 hour as we had to return to port and then went back out. A partial refund would be nice.

Staff are fantastic and really lovely, boat trip was also a lot of fun and even if you struggle to see dolphins it's still a great experience! Staff even make sure you find your way to transfers and make sure everyone is accounted for.

Amazing. Nearly didn't see any dolphins but they persisted and we saw a few baby ones. Kids loved the speed, definitely was not expecting that. Very tentative to everyone. Very enjoyable.

This was a lovely trip. Just a few hours which is perfect for an evening trip. Dropped straight at harbour into office for our ticket and straight to gate onto boat. first 15 mins and we found dolphins. tour guide and captain were fab and the fizz and cake at sunset was magical. would highly recommend.

The young girl on the boat was so lovely, making sure everyone got photos, was really kind and spoke so well in English and Spanish. Shes an asset to the experience! The driver was brilliant, made sure we found the dophins and stopped to make sure everyone got a great experience. 10/10.

Went to the ticket office and we're just told to gate 1.. no directions to gate1... the cava was cheap and the pastries was a small slice of cake... unfortunately did not get to see and marine life.. and didn't even get to see the sunset!! Biggest waste of money... no information provided about dolphins during the trip just listened to god awful music.. wasn't rewarded when the decided to speed the boat up (which was the most fun part) PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

* Yes, read the instructions, Yes bring a jumper/jacket or a Towel, its the sea at 30mph !
- The staff did EVERYTHING possible to find us a Whale & it was TRULY EPIC

Really enjoyed this sunset boat ride! Lots of fun and beautiful scenery and while we didn't spot any dolphins we did see a whale. Did get a bit wet but the staff were fantastic and gave out blankets, keeping me nice and warm as we dashed about the waves. Well worth the trip!

Loved this trip. Well worth the money. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable. Looked after us well, and we saw whales and some dolphins. Having a glass of fizz watching the sunset was beautiful.

The Guide didn't tell us any facts or really talk to us. We didn't actually get to see the sunset so that was falsely advertised. We saw dolphins which was the best bit. I wouldn't do this again.

the boat trip was unsatisfactory, we didnt see any dolphins at all, only on the return into the port we briefly saw a whale which is the only plus side to this trip, couldnt hear or understand any of the commentary on the boat, the staff seemed more interested in entertaining their girlfriends on board the boat, this made for an unpleasant spend

It was recommended light jacket, the weather was cold yesterday I took said jacket and was really cold. You are on the sea and when we were rushing ti find dolphins it was COLD. A crewman kindly gave me his jacket. Crew excellent good with the kids and took them to bow to have pics taken.

A mixed experience. The boat wasn’t ready, and we had to wait 20 mins without explanation on the quayside in the hot sun. Conditions were rough - quite a big swell & everyone got wet - not very pleasant. Should the boat even have gone out in those conditions? No safety briefing / life-jackets. No meaningful commentary. Just a boat driver and guide - felt understaffed. No dolphins - was it simply too rough? Redeeming feature: beautiful sunset in calmer waters. Overall: disappointing.

From start to finish a fantastic experience ?? been on a few boat trips over the years but not done sunset this was amazing beautiful warm evening and bonus we did see some dolphins , crew were fantastic kept us enterertained great with the little ones on board , and champagne and cake to finish off , we'll worth every euro .

Staff on boat were very friendly & helpful. And we saw dolphins. Journey to boat took 1hour 20 minutes, journey back 1 hour. If we'd known this, would not have booked. Time travelling on coach should not be longer than time on boat!

It was a wonderful experience, we saw a lot of dolphins which was just incredible. The guide was very friendly and made the whole experience very enjoyable. We weren't aware the connecting coach from Costa Teguise would be 90 minutes in either direction.

Unfortunately I booked it on the only day that it rained in the 9 days we were here and we didn’t see any dolphins. However the host on the boat was fantastic and calmed down all the kids who were crying on the way back because of the choppy seas. Apart from not seeing the dolphins in their natural habitat, it was a great trip

Fabulous trip because we saw lots of dolphins swimming along side the boat for quite a while! Without the dolphins, a pleasant enough 2 hour trip along the coastline. Crew were friendly and worked hard to find the main attraction. Disappointed that there was no actual sunset and feel this was mis-sold (trip ended 8pm, sunset an hour later on the opposite side of the island). Drinks and snacks were handed out on plastic cups/plates towards the end, hardly worth it. Overall much enjoyed!

Pick up from the hotel was great and on time. Obviously seeing the dolphins gliding through the water was a scene you will never forget. Amazing! Things that were not anyones fault, no sunset due to cloud coverage and the sea was choppy so was hard to move around the boat safely when looking for the dolphins. Very chilly on the return as they drive fast in to the wind (which is fun) jacket definitely needed.

The trip was great for seeing the dolphins totally brilliant, details said take a light jacket and though appreciated it was a cloudybish evening the pictures showed everyone in life jackets so we wore long sleeves but not thick jumpers however there was no life jackets so especially being at evening sunset & cloudybitbwas freezing!

What a delight! One of the best experience in my entire life! The guides were extremely motivated to find the dolphins and we did, we found wayyyyy more than I expected! We got such amazing videos and photographs. Once we set off we were able to stand and move around the boat so we could see from all angles. The driver and the tour guide were both so lovely. At the end we had cake and drinks, my partner and I don’t drink alcohol so they gave us juice. Overall, a 10/10 experience!

We absolutely loved seeing the dolphins. Safety wise, whilst waiting for the boat there was an area we stood with three young children that had access to water with no fence or barrier, very dangerous. Other than that it was incredible

Overall an amazing experience. We encountered a large pod of Dolphins. Watching them interact with the boat was incredible. Would highly recommend. But I’d cut out the sunset part. Was boring waiting hanging around. Wine and cake isn’t needed either

The experience itself was great, nice trip out on the water and got to see some dolphins. The issue was around the organisation of the trip or lack of, the bus was initially late to the pick up and just shouted dolphins at us. After the trip there was mass confusion of what bus people should be on, they never did a check list so anyone could have been on the wrong bus, mid journey home the bus driver just stoped and got for a few mins for no obvious reason then took a phone call

It was an amazing experience. Staff new where to go to find the dolphins and moved with them so we had a great experience. Staff on the boat were amazing. I would like to say that the transfer back was terrible. The coach was not big enough to transfer us all. We had to wait for over an hour after getting off the boat for a 2nd coach to take us back to. hotel. The tour staff were very sorry, but advised us to pass on our comments as they seem to have issues with the bus service.

We had the best time, staff were friendly and really committed to finding dolphins. We saw loads of dolphins and were lucky enough to see a whales or 2 as well. All this plus cake, cava and sunset at the end. Couldn’t recommend this enough.

Fab trip, saw dolphins and whales :) Sunset was pretty. Boat crew were fantastic, very attentive to passengers and enthusiastic about finding dolphins. Sparkling wine in a paper cup and piece of cake slightly disappointing. Do listen to the advice about taking a light jacket, gets quite cold when on the move.

The trip was great, we boarded the boat and received the safety brief before going to sea. We got to see loads of dolphins with a few of them even putting on a show with some jumping out of the water and some tail slapping on top of the water. Towards the end we were at the entrance to the harbour watching the sunset with wine and cake, a great finish to the day.

The trip was fantastic. We saw loads of dolphins that swam close to the boat. The sunset was magnificent. It was a nice little treat to get cava and cake on the boat whilst watching the sunset. The bus drops you at the top of the harbour and you have to walk to a ticket office to collect your ticket. There was no guide to direct you but thankfully we had read the reviews beforehand that advised us of this.

Great boat trip :) didn’t see dolphins. Pick up was running late but arrived 5/10mins later before we called for assistance. Booked online prior to holiday as rep is never around in Sandos Papagyo unlike the Jet2rep. Was a great experience for our anniversary.

Booking on app easy and instant. Not really a trip for young children,a lot of time out at sea looking for dolphins, the youngsters got bored. We didnt see any dolphins,the other boat saw them but they'd gone by the time we arrived. The crew were very friendly and helpful. Great sunset, enjoyed cake and wine.

Fun experience! Although we didn’t see the dolphins this time (luckily I have in the past), the boat trip was still amazing! There’s something about being on a boat, with the sea breeze, so nice. We stopped towards the end and had cake and champagne. There were opportunities to walk about the boat and take pictures. I stood most of the time at the back of the boat, holding onto the rails, (by choice) as I can sometimes get sea sick. Always helps to breathe in the sea air. Great staff and host.

I enjoyed the trip and the guided tour with lots of Dolphins playing for us to see. The only slight low point was the disappointing food and drinks supplied. A piece of cake although very nice, it was only a piece of cake; with a couple of glasses of something fizzy.

Our guide was awesome, very enthusiastic and made sure he did his best to find dolphins. We were so lucky and saw at least 20, all hunting in 2s and 3s, it was amazing to see. The water was fairly flat so they let us stand at the bow. The other boat wasn't as lucky, they'd gone somewhere else and saw nothing so we radio'd for them to come to our location. Prosecco and cakes at sunset was great. Safety was a little concern as no life vests given or any instructions in case of emergency.

All in all was a good trip, we didn't see any dolphins but was clear they were trying to find a pod in the usual places. The "snacks" were a small piece of cake, the none alcoholic drink was a warm pineapple children's box drink. This was a lot of fun.. but not what we expected! We thought sunset, dolphins, champagne, gently bobbing on the waves. What we got was a party boat, and holding on tight as we were bounced through the waves like a ride in a theme park… we came home soaked and minus one hat.

Staff were very friendly whilst still keeping their professionalism. It was a little confusing once we got off the bus - we then had to queue to recieve a ticket for the boat which seemed a little unecessary when we had already got confirmation of the booking. We were lucky enough to see the dolphins although the sea was very rough which caused some people to feel a little ill. The care and concern from the staff towards these people was excellent.

Seeing the dolphins was amazing and the staff were funny and nice. The only downfall was they only offered champagne no alternative just yoghurt drink for kids. Also it said pastries but it was just 2 small squares of cake was expecting a little more.

Type of boat not suitable for “cruise”. Not cruising at sunset just floating outside harbour wall & moored before sunset. Cruise described as 4 - 8hrs, was actually only 2hrs.

Enjoyed the boat trip and seeing the sunset. The prosecco and cakes were very much appreciated too. We didn't see many dolphins only the fins of a couple but it's always a gamble when wild animals are involved. The trip is still fun regardless, the staff were very friendly and made the trip fun especially for the children on board.

Unfortunately we didn't spot any dolphins so that was a shame but the speedboat ride back was fun. the recommendation is to take a light jacket but because of the speed, it does get quite cold so I would say wear something warmer than that. Because we didn't see any dolphins, the tour could have been improved if the guide filled in the gap by giving some information about them and their habits instead of just pointing out where we were.

Trip well organised, along walk along the quayside to get to the boat, those with mobility issues may find it challenging. You do need to be a good sailor as the waters are very choppy even on a good day, the wind can quickly get up. We couldn't hear much of what the guide was saying once on the boat which was disappointing. the cakes and cava were a pleasant surprise as a way of finishing the trip. the dolphins put on a great show!

The Captain of the boat was very informative and also a real character which made everyone comfortable and laugh. He made sure that he made every effort in searching for the dolphins and we were lucky enough to see them just as the sun was setting. Amazing.

The boat itself was comfortable enough, with forward facing seats for everyone. We were very lucky and saw at least three pods of dolphins, although I was somewhat uncomfortable with how much both our boat and the other tour boat seemed to be chasing them and getting very close indeed to them - much more intrusive in feel for the dolphins than some other similar trips I have done before. The provided drinks and cake were a nice and unexpected touch! The sunset was lovely at the end of the trip.

Such a lovely boat trip. Very good fun and a good overall vibe on the boat. Even though we did not see dolphins me and my friend really enjoyed the trip and company. The staff really made the trip with the happy vibe they gave.

At first we weren’t sure we were going to see any dolphins but we did as we we were coming back into shore, it was a lovely experience just wish the boat was going a bit slower but the dolphins were swimming along side us, it was a fantastic experience.
