Tijdloze dorpen, uitzichten waar je je ogen op uitkijkt en een kustklassieker. Op deze tocht met een kleine groep zie je de mooiste plekken van Zakynthos. En alsof dat nog niet genoeg is, proef je ook nog lokale olijfolie en wijn. Bianca, een van onze lokale gidsen, zegt: "Je ontdekt die moeilijk te bereiken plaatsen uit het verleden – de Skinari windmolens, de smalle stegen van Volimes. Zelfs na al die jaren op het eiland word ik nog helemaal blij als ik ze zie." En als klap op de vuurpijl begint deze tour later, zodat je je schoonheidsslaapje niet hoeft te missen.Je trapt af met een rondleiding en proeverij bij een door een familie gerund wijnhuis in Kallipado. Al generaties lang worden hier wijnen gemaakt van lokale druivensoorten zoals robola en pavlos. Vervolgens rij je langs de oostkust met een fotostop aan een beroemd strand. Bij Kaap Skinari doe je je tegoed aan huisgemaakte appeltaart en een warm drankje bij de vuurtoren en neem je wat kiekjes van de windmolens voordat je aan boord stapt voor een tocht naar de Blauwe Grotten. Deze zeebogen zijn in de loop van duizenden jaren door de golven uitgesleten in witte kliffen. En als het weer het toelaat, neem je een duik in het koele water.Terug aan wal maak je een schilderachtige rit naar Exo Chora en onderweg kom je langs dorpen als Volimes en Anafonitria. Eenmaal in Exo Chora zet je een 2000 jaar oude olijfboom op de foto en bezoek je een lokale cosmeticafabriek waar je ziet hoe producten van de olijfolie van het eiland worden gemaakt. Daarna sluit je de tour af met een maaltijd in een lokale taverna. En als je een TUI Blue gast bent, ga je naar een exclusief restaurant in Agalas. Te midden van het fotogenieke landschap proost je op de avonturen van die dag en proef je Griekse hapjes. En je spoelt het allemaal weg met Ouzo.

The tour was great, particularly the boat trip to the Blue Caves where we got to swim in the cool turquoise sea followed by a visit to a beautiful village restaurant with lovely food and stunning views. Kay, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and full of interesting facts about the island’s history and local culture.

Loved Laura’s tour guide info Very good value for money Food at the restaurant was delicious Enjoyed cosmetics and vineyard talks too! My only concern was that the skipper of our boat trip chatted on the phone for quite a long time. In pretty choppy waters, it made us feel unsafe.

The variety of the different things we experienced on this tour was amazing from wine tasting to a boat trip to the caves together with a fantastic Mesa meal in a beautifully located taverna. What made it even more special was our guide, Kay. She was so knowledgeable and shared with us many facts about the island that you not have found out by yourself. She punctuated the travelling around the island with snippets of information on a regular basis m. Would thoroughly recommend the tour.

Wine tasting was good, blue caves let down and the meal was awful, not as described by rep for tour. Thought we were getting authentic Greek meze, ended up with Greek salad, cheese, bread and aubergine in tomato sauce.

Leuke tour en de wijnproeverij was lekker. Zeep fabriek was ook heel leuk. Daar was de proeverij echt de moeite waard en de oude olijfboom mooi om te zien. De boottocht super mooi. Mochten ook zwemmen van de kapitein die wij hadden. Het eten op het laatst was erg lekker en veel maar daar was de wijn echt verschrikkelijk vies!!!! Mocht de pret niet drukken met de leuke gids Laura.

The tour was an amazing experience. Perfect for everyone. Wine tasting experience was great and lots of interesting facts about the place. Visiting the blue caves was great too we had some time to swim and enjoy the water. Seeing the oldest olive tree and the soap factory was great too. And how can I forget to mention the most amazing meal we had at the end of the tour ?? place food and staff were amazing

Positives: getting a tour guide who was living on the island (we had Laura), she was able to share a lot of information about the daily life on Zante, giving a unique insight on the life on the island. The boat tour to the blue caves was amazing, getting so close to the caves was spectacular. The wine tasting was very professional, maybe a bit short for the amount of wine to taste. Negatives: the stop at the soap factory felt too much of a "selling party".

The whole day was great, from the wine tasting, blue caves with a swim. Then on to see the oldest olive tree and Petias organic farm shop. The dinner at the end of the day was excellent from Damianos Cave. The whole day was brought together wonderfully by Sylwia. She was really knowledgeable and good fun for the whole group. 5*

De reisleidster was heel leuk en gezellig en vertelde ongelooflijk veel over het eiland. Daarnaast was er ook totaal geen haast. Op elke plek waar we stopten mochten we zelf bepalen hoelang we bleven. Ze wilde echt dat we het maximale uit de excursie zouden halen.

Driver and guide brilliant, helpful, interesting. Very Safe driver. Did all they could to help people. Weakest part of tour was vineyard, perhaps see more of the outside, ie vineyard. The meze wasn't geared up for vegetarians. Perhaps beer and soft drinks could be included in the meze price for those that dont drink wine or don't drink at all.

Places visited reasonably interesting. Had hoped the meal would be in a villager’s home- which we had some years ago in Greek Cyprus. Bus ride terrible as there was virtually NO suspension. Almost bad enough to avoid the trip.

Zeer leuke trip in klein gezelschap. Fijne reisleidster die veel lokale verhalen verteld. Je ziet groot deel van eiland waarbij je links en rechts ook nog van lokale kan proeven. Op einde nog een zeer uitgebreide maaltijd genuttigd.

Kay, our tour guide was very informative & friendly. Everything was high quality. I enjoyed it. Only neg was I explained when booking that I had difficulty walking up steps & slopes and was told there were some steps but the boat would return to a different point and it wouldn't be a problem. I discovered the return point was the same as the start which had steps and was steep for anyone with breathing problems. I feel this was misleading. Kay was brilliant & told me to take my time coming up.

The trio tries to create attractions where none exist. This was made worse as the boat trip to the Blue Caves was cancelled. This was the main attraction of the trip. The guide took us to a redundant ‘monastery’ for a ten minute walkabout as an alternative. There was no information & we were trespassers at the site. we ended up at a cafe an hour ahead of schedule - the staff were not even at the cafe & we were an inconvenience when they arrived. A complete rip off.

The wine tasting was great, even bought some! Sadly the weather prevented the Blue Caves boat trrip going ahead. Instead we were taken to a small delerect monastery which we walked the grounds for 15-20 minutes. This was not really a suitable contingency plan There needs to be better alternatives for the main event being cancelled. On the plus side our guide was very knowledgeable and a great character.

Great value for money - the wine tasting was an interesting and fruitful experience and the time spent there was just about right. On to the Windmill Cafe where we were met with a friendly greeting along with coffee/tea and cake - amazing views here. Next the blue caves - well organised and well worth the visit and a chance for a swim in one of the coves. The soap factory and the restaurant visits rounded off a wonderful experience. Sadly the coach broke down but we were soon on our way again.

Wine tasting never got to see blues caves or boat trip cancelled. Taken to a derelict monastery Very disappointed. Taverna ok for Greek lunch The trip not what I expected not value for money . Quite a few on coach unhappy . I do not think monastery closed was any substitute for blue caves boat trip

Everything was good apart from when we stopped for a meal the drink choice was water & Ouzo, I noticed that hardly anyone had the Ouzo (including my wife & I) wine or beer would have been preferable, apart from that it was a great trip. The rep was funny & informative 10/10.

What an amazing trip! Our guide Kay was funny, knowledgeable & friendly. The winery tour & tasting (with fresh homemade bread) was so generous & delicious. The drive between stops was idyllic, we had the most stunning views where we stopped to have coffee & apple cake, but the highlight was a boat trip with a glass bottom to the caves where we jumped off for a swim. But that wasn’t all! More tastings of olive oil & booze, then the most scrumptious feast. A really special part of our holiday.

The whole tour was excellent from start to finish each stop the locals were very informative and Laura our guide was also. She contently asked if we were all OK and not to worry if you had any concerns she would help to fix them. It was lovely to be part of a small group as it gave us a chance to get to know each other. The only fault was the air-conditioning on the bus wasn't working but our bus driver opened the top box which really help cool us down. All in all a fantastic trip.

We had a wonderful day in this trip! Tour guide Sylvia and driving Michael really looked after us and shared a huge amount of knowledge about what it’s like to love on the island. The wine tasting was very interesting and fun and the coffee and cake that followed was delicious. The blue cave boat trip was stunning and it was great to visit a local business on the non-tourist side of the island. I came away with lots of lovely natural products! The Greek meal at the end was also delicious!

Excellent trip. Unfortunately the weather didn't let us make the blue caves but our fantastic guide Laura managed to get us into the Monastery. Laura was very knowledgeable about the Island and made the day really enjoyable.Great value for money and highly recommended. Thanks to our great driver for showing is the some amazing sights.

Because of adverse weather we did not see the blue caves which was a big disappointment. Perhaps a refund or an alternative stop off might compensate? The guide and driver were excellent but a promising trip was cut short so we felt a mite dissatisfied ??

Enjoyed all aspects but I do feel that prior to booking it should have been made clear that in order to do the Boat Trip, which was a major part of the experience, people should have been made aware of the long flight of steep steps and slopes to access the boat. A number of people on our trip had difficulty with this.

We did this tour, and honestly it’s one of the best ones we’ve done. Our guide Kay was fab, our driver Dimitri was very nice too. The wine tasting is a great start, a lovely family run winery. Then onto coffee and cake with a view. The blue caves were fab, not sure about the 270 steps we had to go down though ?? then onto a soap and olive oil place(bug spray advised!) then onto an amazing taverna, the food and wine were fantastic. Well worth the money, highly recommend this experience.

The guide and service were excellent, I loved that the tour was limited to a max of 16 which was what persuaded me to book in the first place. My only negative is that the boat trip could have been longer - it felt very brief and we would have like longer swimming and exploring the coastline.

We enjoyed everything . The wine tasting was very informative. The blue caves were an experience the skill of the boat captain was amazing how he got that boat into the caves I will never know. The lunch was delicious traditional Greek food and only a few people on the trip which made it more personal. The tour Guide was great and had a very good local knowledge which she imparted with great enthusiasm and humour.

The day was very enjoyable and Sylvia the rep was extremely knowledgeable and the driver was great. The tour of the winery with tasting was interesting and enjoyable and not pressured to purchase. Really enjoyed the whole day, it was nice to just chill and see the scenery.

First and foremost, Silvie our guide was instrumental in making this trip the success that it was. She was knowledgeable, caring and ensured that the trip went smoothly. Generally, we really enjoyed all aspects of the trip. The highlights were the Blue Cave experience (we really loved the boat trip) and our visit to the restaurant to Cave Damianos. What a beautiful place. So memorable.

My. Husband and I Thoroughly enjoyed this trip”. Carol our guide, was very informative and friendly “. The wine tasting was lovely and the history of the family run winery was very interesting plus the wine was good. The blue caves boat trip was excellent and the swim time was perfect for me.the highlight of the trip was the outstanding view from the restaurant at the end of the trip . Het was een leuke tour alleen jammer dat de bootocht zo kort was die had wat langer gemogen. De reisleidster vertelde vol liefde over het eiland en de bezienswaardigheden.

Fin busstur med mycket vacker natur att titta på och fin båttur. Carol var en superbra guide. Det skulle vara bra med information vid bokningen om att maten vid middagsbesöket endast var vegetarisk o nåt litet ätbart vid lunchtid borde ingå eftersom det blir väldigt långt innan middagstid.

de reisleidster en chauffeur waren oke die deed het leuk. maar de Blue Caves was ivm het weer gecanceld,ook de windmolen en vuurtoren en dat vonden we vreemd want die staan aan land dus snappen we dan niet dat dat dan niet doorging. En daarvoor in de plaats zouden we een alternatief krijgen maar dat hebben we niet gehad. Alleen dat we bij de stops langer zijn gebleven wat niet echt nodig was op die plaatsen. Want qua uitzicht en plaats was het niet echt aantrekkelijk om daar langer te vertoeven

Prachtige omgeving om het . De engelstalige gids heeft heel veel verteld over het eiland. En de historie . Iets minder vonden wij de Wijnproeverij met iets of wat info. Ook gericht op verkoop. Bij Olijven puur gericht op verkoop en geen info over persen en verwerking ect. De maaltijd op het einde was erg lekker en zeer uitgebreid en veel

As we paid 75£ each for the main activity of the Blue Caves which was subsequently cancelled due to bad weather by the coastguard as we had just left the hotel (the weather was not bad and there were boats visiting the caves along the shore without any problems), we ended up visiting a monastry/church for 1/2 hour instead which was free. The wine tasting was good and informative, the soap factory was a waste of time. We would expect a refund to compensate for the cost of the non boat trip

Could have done with a bit more space in the bus, was relatively cramped for the amount of time spent on it. Was a bit of a whirlwind tour but had to fit a lot into the day and was a lot of travelling between stops. Overall, Kay was a very knowledgeable guide, saw pretty much the whole island, great little places to stop and try local wines. Beautiful scenery! Worth the trip!

Felt the day was a bit drawn out. Crucially I think it should be explained that to get into the boat to go the blue caves, you have to walk down a cliff path with steps which are a bit uneven. Bad enough going down but for anyone with breathing problems like my husband, nearly impossible to get back up. Need to be told this is not suitable for anyone with breathing problems! Also disappointed that the blue caves were not up to how it was all described. Food stop needs to be earlier in the day.

Absolutely enjoyed the whole experience, the wine tasting, the coffe & cake was lovely, the blue caves too (although I would have liked a pre warning about the walk & steps to the boat, although fairly short I personally found it a bit challenging). The soap making and local crafts stop was probably one of the best we have ever been to, and finally, the meze was exceptional. We thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
