Madeira's southwest coast is the star of this all-inclusive cruise on 'Living Sea'. And after setting out from Funchal port, you'll head up the less-explored coast to Cais da Lapa for some swimming. The best part is that with a maximum of 52 guests on board, you'll have all the space and attentive service you need to enjoy a day at sea. Jorge, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘You'll see the drama of Madeira's landscapes on this cruise. We'll pass by Cabo Girão, the second-highest sea cliffs in the world. The viewpoint at the top is often really busy, so you can enjoy seeing the cape from a unique – and much calmer – perspective.'Settle in on deck with a cold drink in hand, and feel the Atlantic breeze in your hair. You'll glide along the intensely green coastline – soon coming upon Cabo Girão, which towers out of the sea at a height of 580 meters. You'll get to cool off in the clear waters of Cais da Lapa, where boats from no other company stop, while your 'Living Sea' crew prepares a lunch of homemade dishes.The perfect pairing for your tasty lunch is wine from the Alentejo region. Jorge says, ‘Alentejo wines are some of Portugal's finest. The reds have juicy flavours of berries, vanilla and spice. The whites are known for hints of tropical fruit, citrus and have a balanced minerality.' Make the most of the relaxing on-board experience with your group before sailing back down the coastline – hopefully accompanied by some curious dolphins or sea turtles.

Es war alles sehr gut organisiert. Die Crew hat sich sehr darum bemüht, dass wir Delphine und andere Meerestiere zu sehen bekamen. Natürlich hatten wir auch Glück mit dem Wetter. Das Boot war wirklich nicht voll ausgenutzt, von der möglichen Passagieranzahl. Man konnte sich gut darauf bewegen und das Mittagessen war auch sehr gut und reichlich. Insgesamt war es eine sehr schöne Bootstour.

Booked this last minute and it was excellent Staff were amazing, saw lots of dolphins, then swam in the sea while lunch was set out. Full, hot meal with tuna, chicken, pork and potatoes and salad. Absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend this.

We had a wonderful trip, the guides were really lovely and showed us where the dolphins were. They stopped playing the music and the engine while the dolphins were near which was brilliant. It was a magical experience to see the dolphins, some flying fish and explore some of the coastline by boat. The swim at the cove just before lunch was brilliant too. It was a great day, the organisers were very lovely and would highly recommend!

Die erfahrene Crew hat uns auf dem Trip mit viel Getränken und leckerem Mittagessen verwöhnt. Die Delfine aus der Nähe zu sehen war beeindruckend. Die Insel aus der Seeperspektive zu sehen war großartig. Der Badestopp hat für eine super Abkühlung gesorgt.

Please tell people that dolphins and whales are not guaranteed as they are wild . Some people were disappointed. We have been on many dolphin boats and are aware. Alas the trip is sold with dolphin and whale watching and people need to be reminded

De crew deed echt haar best om de school met dolfijnen te vinden. We voerden een flink eind de oceaan op. De sfeer aan boord was prima en relaxed. Ook voldoende ruimte om te zitten voor iedereen. Ik heb geen minpunten.

Well organised trip, we were collected relatively on time, taken straight to the boat in the harbour and set sail pretty soon on arrival. The crew were friendly and helpful as well as being able to give useful information on various points of interest. We saw some pilot whales and then hugged the coast line back to Funchal. Lunch was plentiful and there was enough variety although if you are vegetarian it would have been pretty bland i.e. salad, rice and potatoes.

We werden in de watten gelegd door de bemanning. Het was super geregeld. Daarbij werden we ook al snel omringd door een school dolfijnen, wat ook prachtig was. We hadden een geweldige dag.

Nous avons été les 1ers à être pris en charge à l'hôtel par le car puis avons fait presque une heure de porte à porte vers les autres hôtels de vacanciers; c'était un peu long. Et les derniers à être redéposés au retour. La balade en bateau s'est terminée à 14h45 et nous aurions aimé faire une heure de plus de navigation l'après-midi d'autant plus que, le matin, nous n'avons pas eu la chance de voir les cétacés. Tout le reste était très bien

Boot was zeer relax met geen grote horde mensen. Verzorging onderweg was echt top, fijne mensen, vertellen veel en verzorgen echt prima. Doen echt der best om dolfijnen te zoeken( ook gevonden) en geven aan wanneer je camera en alles gereed moet houden.Had verwacht om iets verder te varen langs de kust maar verder fijne boot om te varen en op te zitten!

We hebben alleen wat spetters van dolfijnen op grote afstand gezien. Het eerste drankje werd aan tafel gebracht, daarna zelfservice wat niet echt handig was ingericht. Wijn was niet lekker, keuze bij de lunch beperkt. Vooral voor kinderen. Bemanning was wel erg vriendelijk en had de gunfactor, maar voor een tocht om dolfijnen te spotten viel dit erg tegen.

We got picked up from our hotel in a coach. We got on boat last and therefore last to choose a seat. Would have preferred seat downstairs but they were all taken. We got to see some dolphins which was magical and also saw a seal. The crew were very nice and answered questions about things we could see. Lunch there was a choice of fish, pork or chicken with a dessert also drinks were provided on the trip. Good all round trip.

Wir wurden freundlich und pünktlich abgeholt und eingeschifft. Die Mannschaft an Bord war super freundlich und aufmerksam, Getränke und Essen perfekt und auch wenn wir gerne länger bei den Delphinen verweilt hätten, finden wir es super, dass es nur für eine bestimmte Zeit war, um die Delphine nicht zu sehr zu stören. Wir nehmen viele tolle Eindrücke mit nach Hause und waren super zufrieden.

Goed verzorgde trip en lekkere lunch. Één minpuntje: de pauze voor zwemmen en lunch duurde te lang, zo'n 1,5 uur. Na de lunch duurde het enige tijd voordat men verder ging en je zag dat mensen begonnen te hangen/slapen en/of de telefoon erbij pakten. Dit kan ingekort worden.

Well organised and we were constantly kept informed of events happening during the day. Staff very friendly and helpful throughout the day. Toller Ausflug. Nach kurzer Fahrt auch direkt zu den Delfinen gekommen. Danach ging es an der Küste zurück mit kurzen Erklärungen. Der Badestopp war an einer sehr schönen Stelle. Die Anschließende Verpflegung war auch gut.

The food was fantastic and lots of it, pork, chicken, tuna, rice, potatoes and salad all followed by a desert and coffee. Enjoyed the swim but the water was a bit cold. Fair play to George and his family, they picked us up in a coach, then captained the boat, then brought us back to our hotel. I would recommend this trip to anyone

Pünktliche Abholung. Abfahrt des Schiffes toll. Sehr zugewandt, wussten genau, wo Delfine zu finden sind. Haben sehr viele Delfine gesehen und können davon schwärmen. Selbst eine Meeresschildkröte war zum beobachten. Die Verpflegung waren auf sehr hohen Niveau, die Getränkeversorgung bei dem Wetter jederzeit geregelt entlang. Der Route wurden gerade im letzten Teil sehr viele Besonderheiten und Schönheiten der Natur am Strand erklärt.

De bootreis was heel tof . Het bekijken van dolfijnen in de zee is iets wat je niet rap kan zien . De stop tijdens de middag met het zwemmoment is een aanrader. De schitterende uitzicht op het eiland waren fantastisch. Daarna het middagmaal was heel lekker , hoedje af voor deze familie die dit uitvoert. Voor ons is was excursie een enorme meevaller en aanrader.

Jorge and his family are friendly and hospitable towards their passengers. The food and drink supplied was very good. We saw lots of interesting views of the south coast of Madeira. The day was made by seeing a large pod of pilot wales with calves. The crew respected the rules regarding distance and time spent with the pod. However there was no safety briefing and no visible buoyancy aids or safety equipment.

Het was gewoon een top dag, en zeker waar voor zijn geld. Ondanks dat de dolfijnen zich bijna niet hebben laten zien. De bemanning (Familie) doen hun uiterste best om er een mooie verzorgde dag van te maken.

Het was gewoon super, vriendelijke mensen die het geweldig voor elkaar hadden, een echte aanrader die je niet moet missen. En natuurlijk veel dolfijnen gezien en een zeeschildpad.

Es war ein super Erlebnis das wir auf alle Fälle weiter empfehlen können..Der Service war von Anfang bis Ende hervorragend,das Team sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.Auch das Mittagessen war lecker und reichhaltig. Also ein gelungener Tag ??

Heerlijk om langs de kust over de oceaan te varen en we hebben dolfijnen gezien, geweldig De bemanning was behulpzaam en vriendelijk Bij het zwemmen letten ze echt goed op de veiligheidsnormen de lunch was heel erg lekker De drankjes waren goed en hé mocht gewoon gaan halen zoveel je wilde Hier en daar wat uitleg en dag is interessant natuurlijk Een echte aanrader
