A really old boat that smelled strongly of gasoline in every corner. The swimming stops were pointless – the first one was literally right next to the harbor full of oil or gasoline stains. The transfer from the hotel was dangerous, we almost crashed into an oncoming car. It feels like a typical tourist trap. Never again.

Reading reviews I almost didn’t book the trip but I’m so glad I did. The boat was clean, had shade and life jackets were available, snack bar was great. The island was so beautiful from the sea and the description from guide was great. The turtle information was good and we were able to adopt a turtle on board! We saw a turtle and it was an amazing trip. Transfers were easy and we had a great time

Absolutnie nie polecam tej wycieczki. Wycieczka byla obiecywana jako atrakcja z polska super doswiadczona przewodniczka która duzo wie o wyspie i zólwiach. Zamiast tego bylismy spedzeni na wielka lódz gdzie po angielsku byla prezentacja o zóliwach ( bardzo ciekawa) ale dzieci nie byly w stanie nic z tego wyniesc. Zólw byl jeden. Ale czulam sie jak na polowaniu. Te wycieczki powinny byc calkowicie zakazane. Ogólnie drogo, nudno i nieciekawie

If you weee expecting to see turtles you’d be disappointed, if you just expect a boat trip with a couple of swim sessions then it’s amazing. Beautiful views and the staff are very knowledgeable and caring, I’d recommend this trip for learning about turtles an the coast line.

Het was een leuke boottocht. We hebben helaas geen schildpadden gezien maar daar kan je ook niet vanuit gaan. De zwemstops waren kort en er was geen voorziening van snorkel.

There was only 15 minutes in Keri to shop/relax/sunbathe. We didn't see any turtles which was quite disappointing- however appreciate it does say in the itinerary if we are lucky. The boat felt quite over crowded and more shaded areas would have been nice.

Two stops for swimming. One in an isolated spot offshore. The other in an area where speedboats were all around us, causing swell making it difficult for weak swimmers. One stop was even in a cove where people were snorkelling!! But we weren’t allowed to get off to join them. We saw beautiful beaches ( not allowed to go near them) needed binoculars. Landed in the town, not enough time to even do a bit of shopping. IMO it was a waste of a days holiday. Never again.

Die Tour ist gut aufgeteilt gewesen mit den 2 Badestops, auch die Fahrt der Küste entlang war schön, auch eine Schildkröte konnten wir sehen was allerdings uns auch irgendwie leid tat das genau diese eine Schildkröte von allen Seiten ob von Badegäste unsrem Schiff oder kleineren Booten das hat uns wiederum traurig gestimmt für das Tier,die Keri BUCHT UND Marathonissi wunderschön

The end of the trip we expected, and were sold the trip on a little time in Keri. We literally had 15 minutes from disembarking to the coach leaving. Taking into account 5 minute walk time to get to the coach for a physically fit family, 10 minutes is simply not enough time! The boat staff, whilst polite and clearly experienced, we did not expect them smoking on the main area of the covered lower deck. Surely the boat team can wait for a cigarette, and this should also include passengers.

Het was een leuke boottocht met veel uitleg. 2 zwemstops waarbij je kon zwemmen in het diepe water rondom de boot. We mochten van de loopbrug afspringen wat echt heel leuk was. En je kon met een trappetje het water in. Schildpadden spotten. En 1 gezien wat leuk was. De grotten van keri kun je beter met een klein bootje bekijken zodat je er ook nog dichterbij kan komen. Nu konden alleen van een afstand bekijken.

Ensinnäkin vene oli buukattu todella täyteen. Kun opas ohjasi katsomaan kilpikonnaa toiselle laidalle, vene keikahti kallelleen. Toisekseen elämystä on mielestäni turhaa markkinoida kilpikonnien varaan, koska se on niin tuurissaan näkeekö niitä ollenkaan. Ja jos näkee, niin sen ympärille tulee muitakin veneitä parveilemaan, mikä taas stressaa eläintä itseään. Elämys on enemmänkin kiertoajelua Zakynthoksen eteläpuolella. Maisemat ovat kauniita ja uintimahdollisuudet kivoja.

After receiving g confirmation that the trip was going ahead despite the fires I was surprised. We were told on the coach no changes to itinerary, However, I knew the area was being used by the planes and that the roads were shut. To then embark and be told twice while on board that we have just had a call and can’t do this element was frankly insulting. It was obvious that the trip could never be fulfilled. A bit of honesty and the chance to rebook or refund would have been the correct thin

The excursion said free time to visit a taverna in keri. We had 25 mins in keri so we didn’t have time to visit a taverna. This aspect is misleading and we didn’t have the opportunity to have lunch. I would change the wording on this. The cruise itself was very enjoyable, the guides very informative. The boat had good amenities and facilities. Therefore, I would recommend.

- kindvriendelijk, bv noodles ter beschikking voor kinderen om te zwemmen, lage trap om te water te gaan - rustig, geen luide muziek aan boord, geen partyboot (wat goed is met kinderen) - micro deed het niet perfect - degelijke NL uitleg van de gids over de schildpadden&omgeving - uitleg van Archelon inzake kwetsbaarheid van de schildpadden (eigenlijk tegenstrijdig met deze spotting want het beste is dat er geen schildpadspotting is) - geen agressieve benadering door de kapitein van de schildpad

Tijdens de excursie werd verteld, dat we het belangrijkste onderdeel niet konden ervaren. Vanwege de bosbranden was een vaargedeelte geblokt. Ons inziens was dat al bekend, waardoor ze ons van te voren een alternatief hadden kunnen bieden ipv tijdens de excursie. Dan had men vooraf kunnen bepalen wel of niet mee te gaan.

This is simply a boat trip. The staff were nice. Issues: we had to wait 25 mins for the pickup. There was not much to see. We stopped twice for swimming but there were not the right locations in my view. First stop: nothing to see, no fish, no turtles, no caves, nothing of interest. The second stop was meant to see turtles. We didn't see any. The third stop was for a second swim, which we couldn't do because we stopped in some kind of crude oil area.

Overall very well organised trip. Coach although a little late picked up and dropped off and was very friendly. Tui rep gave a lot of facts when driving along which was good. Boat trip had lovely views but didn’t see turtles which have heard is quite frequent on this trip unfortunately even though is main reason for going First swim stop was lovely and well needed second however they decided to stop where sea was full of fuel. Entered water and came up stained of grease. Some very unhappy ppl!

The location was beautiful, clear blue water, a lovely first swim stop, a great informative guide until the final swim stop at Keri Lake. There the sea was full of what looked and smelt like oil. Our guide assured us that this was a natural occurrence and that it was perfectly safe to swim but it was extremely off putting. Maybe instead of this stop, a better alternative would be a little time for a drink or snack in Keri before the bus back.

Guide was excellent. We felt like one swim in the sea was probably enough, only one side had ladder to get back on board so had to wait in a queue which with a child when the sea is particularly choppy was difficult. Snacks on board were plentiful and lots of choice for our afternoon trip. Wouldn't call this turtle spotting, we looked for a few mins at Laganas, saw boats crowding a turtle and waited to see but couldn't. We found it more distressing than anything watching boats crowd one turtle.

Was not impressed with 5 boats circling one turtle. Horrified infant. We saw a turtle for 10 seconds so not sure how you can sell it as a turtle curse. Kerry island was lovely however a swim in an oil slick was not.

Eerst zag het naar uit dat we geen schildpadden zouden zien maar dat is dan toch gelukt . Iedereen tevreden! Wel erg toeristisch. Plezante zwenstops . Alleen bij die 2 de stop moesten we letterlijk tussen de diesel / olie van onze boot zwemmen. Wat minder aangenaam was.

Overall I nice day out with the family & we were lucky enough to spot the turtles. Pros- Turtle presentation given by the volunteers was great & very informative. Beautiful tour of the island & little hidden gems on the way. Nice swimming spots (although not long enough) Cons- could not really understand the TUI rep or hear her when giving announcements. Waited at 3 of the pick up stops for 15mins+ Not enough time swimming. By the time everyone was in the water it was time to get back onboard

Water was too rough for swimming if you were not a strong swimmer Ladder to get into the sea was crowded up and down mostly with people immediately wanting to get back on to the ship. Very difficult to get back in and I was scared to get off the boat for the 2nd attempt of swimming. Coach transfer to the boat dropped us off in random car park and pointed us where to go instead of telling us. No signs of where to go had to ask a local.

It was advertised as a stop in a village and turtle island with conservation information. We spent the entire 5 hours on the boat. Did not stop in a village. The conservation was presented on a lower deck and the other de ks could not hear anything. Turtle Island was an island shaped like a turtle. We saw 1 turtle deep in the ocean. I know you can't guarantee sightings but 5 hour boat ride would be a more appropriate title

Bianca is een ervaren reisgids en gaf hele goede uitleg in verschillende talen. Veel moois gezien en zelfs 2 schildpadden. Jammer dat er zoveel bootjes dicht om de schildpadden bleven varen. Zouden ze moeten verbieden. Maar het was een leuke excursie van een halve dag.

Overall an enjoyable half day excursion. The boat tour of Keri peninsula was fun, and the scenery is beautiful. Swim stops were welcome as it was a very hot day. The turtle spotting was a little underwhelming, trying to catch a sight of a turtle or two in a very busy bay filled with other boats (we briefly saw one turtle from a distance). The boat ride back to Zakynthos town was quite lengthy, but the views were amazing. Special shout-out to our guide, Sophie, who was lovely.

The only pro was the expertise of the guide. Cons - no air con on coach, no food on the boat (had sold out of everything aside from croissants and ice cream from the morning tour), very unsafe water stops, few kids in tears due to rough current. Not enough woggles. Other passengers helping people in difficulty not the staff. No headcount at all, not one check as to tickets when getting on the boat. Very crowded and the toilets smelt awful that the entire lower deck was extremely unpleasant.

The whole experience was well organised from start to finish. The staff were friendly and helpful. They were very aware of not encroaching on the turtles unlike other boats, really appreciated that! The cafe was well stocked and had a good variety.

The scenery was amazing on the boat, as well as the boat being really nice. There was adequate seating however once the boat filled up there were only seats upstairs available with no shade. Boat staff were lovely and accommodating however the Tui staff were only helpful when we asked for information. We couldn’t hear the Tui guide throughout the whole time except at the end when we were given bus info. We had no information given when booking other than pickup time from the hotel.

I wouldn’t recommend - I would go with one of the many independent trip organisers instead. Dropped in wrong location at first once bus got us to right place he left us & said tui rep would be there at 1. 1 came & went no tui rep so we had to guess which boat in the distance was ours. Boat snacks were overpriced so take your own. 2 Swim stops were awful - dropped in deep sea & boat was turning causing huge waves. Very scary causing some to panic . I got kicked in the commotion. Saw one turtle.

We couldn’t hear anything on the top deck over the speaker, when the wind picked up and the water was more choppy my bend was moving about the deck and the cushion pushing me forward. The itinerary said 1 swim stop and there were 2 one of which had strong current and a lot of people struggled. We don’t stop off in any village like it said we would to have a drink or look around which was one of the reasons we chose this. 2 hours of looking at caves and seeing a turtle the rest sailing for 5 hrs

Wir waren nicht auf der Schildkröten Insel!!! Wir sind nur schnell vorbeigefahren!! War sehr enttäuschend! Die haben nur gestresst und man hat den Guids angemerkt das sie Zeitdruck haben und einfach schnell fahren wollten! Wir haben nur einen Badestop gemacht und der war nicht sehr einladend zum schwimmen gehen weil das ganze Öl dort geschwommen ist! Es war grauslig in dieses Wasser zu gehen!!! Und wir sind 1 Stunde nur am offenen Meer gefahren wo wir nichts ansehen konnten wärend der Fahrt!!!

We did the PM trip. We started at Keri, went around the Keri caves & had a swim stop (I was pleasantly surprised that pool noodles were available for people that wanted them). The guides were informative, full of knowledge about the turtles & friendly. We then saw turtles & carried on around Vassilikos and Banana Beach for a 2nd swim stop before mooring at Zante Town. We found the whole trip very informative from the time we got on the boat. We were picked up by bus from designated place, but we didn't have a guide on our coach we were met at the Dock by her and another coach or 2. We had photos taken as we boarded but weren't told before hand and only one photo was shown to us onboard where unfortunately our Daughter had her eyes closed. Would of been a great keep sake else.

Het was een bovengemiddeld toeristisch uitje met een volle grote soort rondvaartboot. Er is ons vooraf niet verteld dat er tweemaal 30 minuten zwemtijd bij zat. Het zoeken naar schildpadden vond ik zielig en onverantwoord. Allemaal bootjes/ boten rondom zo’n beestje. Gelukkig hebben we er maar 1 gezien. Grotten zie je vanaf een afstand, in je zicht zitten tientallen kleine motorboten. Mooie kust, mooi gebied maar helaas dus geen mooie foto’s door andere boten/ toeristen. Afrader dus!

The upstairs of the boat was full up, so to be able to look at the sea we sat outside downstairs People and crew smoked so often there was constantly someone smoking and it wasn’t avoidable which was unpleasant. Views and trip nice otherwise.

Felt like seeing the turtles could not be done due to ‘smaller boats unsettling’ the turtles. Therefore this is not a turtle trip it is a boat trip with a small chance of seeing turtles if no other boats around. No experts on board like promised to learn about turtles so not an ‘educational day out’ as advertised. Time in ‘Keri’ was 15 minutes before the coaches left. So no time to ‘shop for souvenirs, relax in a typical taverna or hit the beach’ as advertised. All in all a real shame.

Excellent trip. Good value for money. Nice boat. My family really enjoyed the swim stops. Beautiful scenery and caves with a very informative guide. Seeing a turtle swimming in the sea was the icing on the cake.

The swim stops were very much welcomed on this very warm day. Lovely to have an opportunity to see some of the spectacular scenery on the coast. We were really pleased that our boat respected the rules of only 2 boats viewing turtles at a time, it was a pity that some of the smaller boats did not follow this. Despite being on the top deck, we did not manage to observe the turtles spotted during the visit. All in all it was a good trip and perfect for a warm day.

I really enjoyed seeing a turtle in its natural habitat. The 2 stops for swimming was great fun I really enjoyed jumping off the boat and having a swim. The only part which I didn't like was the way we spotted the Turtle as there were 3 tour boats boxing in the 1 turtle that we could find which seemed cruel. Also seeing the small island that the turtles nest on having boats and tourists on them was sad. Its the turtles habitat and they should have the safety of their island with no tourists.

The turtle cruise claimed to have a conservation element, but it just crowded the turtles (with the other boats) so much that we felt really sorry for them and didn't want to be part of it. The swim stops were in the middle of nowhere, with nothing to really see.

Wir hatten die 4 Stunden Tour. Zuerst fuhren wir zu den Keri Höhlen. Das Wasser dort ist wunderbar klar. Danach konnten wir,etwas weiter weg, schwimmen. Etwas später konnten wir eine Schildkröte sehen, die sogar auftauchte. Dann gab es noch einen Schwimmstopp. Insgesamt ein schöner Ausflug.

+ Je komt op plekken die je anders niet zo snel zou zien. Daarnaast hebben we enkele schildpadden kunnen zien en werd daar ook informatie over verteld op de boot. Er was genoeg schaduw op de boot wat er prettig was. - Er werd informatie verteld over de plekken waar we vaarden maar dat had meer gemogen(meer over de geschiedenis bv). Daarnaast stond er in de beschrijving dat je vrije tijd zou hebben in Keri maar dat was maar een kwartier terwijl wij dachten dat het meer zou zijn.

The trip overall was ok, but I’m torn on whether I would recommend. We saw one turtle, but the poor creature was so scared with at least 10 boats around it that it almost wouldn’t catch a breath. It was good to have the conservationists on board, but it was quite upsetting seeing so many boats on top of one turtle. The swim stops were nice.

La visite ne correspond pas à nos attentes, nous pensions pouvoir voir et nager avec les tortues. Nous avons finalement passé beaucoup trop de temps sur le bateau à ne rien faire. Expérience de décevante et cher pour ce que c’est!

Boat trip overall was good. 2 swim stops were great. The trip around turtle island was a little pointless, no stops no time to even look for turtles. Managed to see 1 turtle way off turtle island which really made the trip. But as this trip was mostly about the turtles i give this over all experiance a 6/10
