What to expect
Let your body relax after a busy day of exploring Budapest in the iconic Széchenyi Thermal Bath, one of the largest spa baths in Europe. You'll be able to admire the neo-Baroque architecture of the building as you enjoy a day full of self-care and discover the healing powers of the hot springs. This complex boasts three outdoor and fifteen indoor pools, saunas, steam rooms and even aroma massage services – you can buy these on site. The pools are regulated at various temperatures and the outdoor activity pool has a jacuzzi and a whirlpool.Just so you know, you can choose between two ticket types:
- Option one – entry ticket with locker use. You get your own locker in a public changing room (separated by gender) where you can leave your bag and clothes
- Option two – entry ticket with cabin use. You get your own private cabin where you can change and store your belongings during your visit

Know in advance:
Use your daily ticket to enter the spa at any time after 9.00am and stay until closing time
Remember to bring your own towel
Flip-flops must be worn at the spa
Swimming caps must be worn in the outside pools
Children and babies who haven't been toilet-trained yet aren't allowed in the pools, even if they're wearing a swimming nappy. This usually applies to children under three years of age. Babies and toddlers can come with you to the bath and stay outside the pool area. Toddlers under two can enter the bath area free of charge but won't be able to go in the water

The bath is located in the City Park, close to the City Circus. You can get there with subway line number one and get off at Széchenyi Fürdo station. Please note that you need to exchange your voucher at the front desk by the main entrance.

One outdoor pool was closed for major repairs. The other two were fine but there were small unidentified bits floating around in the water. We had a look at the indoor pools but they were really mucky with what appeared to be green algae on the tiles. We still enjoyed several hours in the outdoor pools.

Was a great experience, some pools were under maintenance so could have been a reduced ticket price as it is quite an expensive experience. Was a bar which was convenient outside with reasonable prices for some drinks

It was a remarkable experience. Unlike any spa, I have ever been to. The volcano sauna was another level. The combination of minerals in the many indoor and outdoor thermal spa pools and bath really makes a difference to your skin particularly for those with skin conditions.

Bella esperienza alle terme di széchenyi. Alla cassa presenti il qr code e subito ti danno braccialetto per avere il tuo armadietto. Terme belle, grandi, tantissime piscine, molto bella la piscina fuori caldissima, dura uscire per il freddo. Un po' affollata ma lo sapevamo.

The baths were brilliant and definitely worth doing. Once you’d do a couple of the spas they were all very much the same. However the place was very clean, the spas very warm and it was very much better than I expected.
