What to expect
Marrakech is a city of intrigue, spice-scented souks, and exotic charm that holds thousands of layers of history. This day tour includes highlights such as the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Medina and fondouks allows you to scratch the surface and peel back the layers of this ochre-coloured city.You'll start at the Koutoubia Mosque and minaret, one of the largest in the western Muslim world. We'll head on over to the Bahia Palace and a local historical museum, before pressing through the labyrinth of the Medina's artisan area. Watch local cooperatives at work and browse traditionally-made handicrafts, after which we'll sit down for lunch in one of its famed riads.Then we'll dip into the Marrakech souks and fondouks where bright colours and oriental smells line the street. As part of this tour, we offer a shopping stop, where you can indulge in the city's vibrant shopping scene. This is an optional stop and can be customized to your preferences. We'll round off the tour at the buzzing Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the life and soul of the city.

Mikki our tour guide was miserable and fed-up throughout the day. This left a bad impression and I would have rather done the exploring myself.

Guide very knowledgeable, was walking at a quick pace through the souks but we had somebody at the back to make sure nobody got lost. Would have benefitted from a break to buy water as temperature was hot and soon drunk the water we brung with us

Really enjoyed being able to walk around Marrakech feeling safe and immersing ourselves in the culture. It was unclear where we were supposed to wait to be picked up and the guide was really rude to us about how he felt we were waiting in the wrong place. That brought the experience down a lot for us. The guide also rushed us through everything with little time for explanation and rushed us off at the end putting us on the wrong bus. Fortunately the bus driver took us back to our hotel anyway

I felt the tour was a little rushed also no real opportunity to grab a drink as told not to buy anything on the tout. Also took you to official places they wanted you to buy from and says your tour operator recommends you buy from here.

It was a great tour, the only thing we could fault was that when we went for lunch we had to pay for drinks, which we weren't aware of, and had assumed they were included with the meal

Enjoyed the distance and variety of the tour with the bazaar/souk. Enjoyed the lunch venue and food. Enjoyed the Refreshment stop in the afternoon. Did not enjoy being directed into a specific shop to buy souvenirs instead of being offered the chance to leave and go and find your own. Did not like being ushered into a pharmacy to be offered/sold oil and spices.

The only thing that was a little frustrating was the waiters in the main restaurant. They kept asking if all was ok with everything was it was but one day we had 6 guys asking it was a little off putting.

The guide was very informative and helpful. English good although was hard to hear in a big group- if u was at the back or at the side. Needed a microphone really. As I missed quite a deal of interesting facts and information. Could have been a little bit slower to stop and see other things. No big issues and the lunch stop was amazing and the staff were kind and helpful.

Overall, the experience was okay. Saw the mosque, a palace and a museum. Not quite sure what I was expecting but I thought there would be more interesting stuff. This may be solely my fault. The restuarant was good and I enjoyed the food.

A long day from 9am to5pm with 11,500 steps in hot sun but a good intro to this unique city. Outside the mosque, inside the Bahia Palace, Carpet Museum (not great), delicious meal (buy your drinks), walk through the souks, cold drink and cakes, pharmacy presentation and time to shop. Full itinerary with a good local guide whose English was fast and furious. Bring water, fan and comfy shoes!

The guide had arranged a couple of stops at shops that were expensive compared to the souks. Good quality items but overpriced and didn’t leave much time (only 40 mins) for free time and looking around the souks ourselves.

The guide took us through all the nooks and crannies of the city. I wouldn't of known any of the small narrow streets. The big square was a bit daunting, but that is Marrakesh.

We wanted to see the souks for 2-3 hrs. They guide wanted us to go to a spice shop and wouldn’t give us the time or location to get picked up if we left the tour. We had to return the next day as my wife was so unimpressed with the chance to shop in the souks which is why we went for the day tour in the first place!

The visit to the pharmacy felt like a completely forced sell. The guide told everyone to go in and sit down, then said it is optional to leave but wasn't clear. My friend said there was an optional section after so we weren't sure. They mentioned the door would be open but the store owners then got a 3rd member of staff to stand in front of the door on the inside making it feel difficult to leave. Other than this it was a great trip.

The mosque and Bahia Palace and walks/coach arrangements were very good. Walks through the Souks were good, only issues which most of group agreed with was too much time spent in the Pharmacy listening to the talk and expectation to buy (handing out baskets etc) it was a waste of an hour! Souvenir shop was ok but more expensive than if buying from other places.

The guide was very knowledgeable and the lunch was excellent, music and belly dancing. The only moan I have is that too much time was spent in the guides selected souvenir shop… it was much more expensive than the stalls… which we only had 20 minutes to look around on our own rather than 45 minutes

We mainly paid to go see the Palace but it was closed and we wasn’t told in advance. We were taken to a ‘museum’ about African history so wasn’t the Morocco tour we anticipated. We also spent a fair about of time in a Pharmacy?? Which was a little bizarre. However, our tour guide was so nice and kept cracking jokes. Reaturant and your of the Souks were also excellent. Would recommend, if everything is open as described.

Loved the morning, visiting the museum and palace. Lunch was nice and in beautiful surroundings. Was disappointed to only get 25 minutes free time in the souks in the afternoon. If I was to do it again I would only book the morning tour and have the freedom to roam the souks rather than be taken to set shops where the prices were extortionate compared to other traders

TUI service was outstanding as usual - efficient and friendly staff, plane left on time, smooth operation at Marrakech Airport. Hotel Sirayane was outstanding - great rooms, great food, facilities and service.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, our guide Mekhi was so informative and witty!!
We enjoyed all aspects including the spice shop, the presentation was great- we were able to purchase some great things at discounted prices.
The tour through the souks was my favourite and I felt safe with the tour guide.

Good and informative tour - only downside was the spice shop stop which took about an hour and got tiresome in the end and turned into a bit of a sales pitch - time would have been better spent exploring the markets more or visiting a garden
