What to expect
Enjoy a 2-hour adventure on the blue ocean around Madeira to admire whales and dolphins. Get the opportunity to spot the resident cetacean species such as sperm whales, bottlenose dolphins, and common dolphins.The tour operates all year round in Madeira, an area where there is always something to see, but the best season to observe some of the biggest whales in the world is springtime (March to December). In this specific season, whales are migrating and passing by Madeiran waters and you'll be able to see fin whales, blue whales, and killer whales.During the excursion, you'll tour the surrounding areas of Funchal by speedboat with 2 professional spotters and gigantic binoculars to increase the chances of encounters.

Sehr tolles Erlebnis und unser Guide Camila war echt klasse. Sie liebt die Tiere und ihren Job. Es war wunderschön zwei Arten von Delfine zu sehen. Leider keine anderen Tiere wie Wale oder Schildkröten. Dennoch war es das Geld absolut wert.

A wonderful experience which will live long in the memory. Fernanda was a lively, engaging and extremely knowledgeable host. The boat was perfect - small and fast and quiet and expertly captained by Thiago. The fact that Blue Safari are committed to marine conservation was important to us.

Zeer fijne ervaring, gids Camila was heel aangenaam en gaf steeds extra uitleg over de dieren. Ze spreekt 5 talen en deed moeite om in ieders geprefereerde taal uitleg te geven. Steeds was er aandacht voor het comfort van de dieren en hun leefomgeving.

Der Ausflug ist sehr zu empfehlen: Nach einer kurzen Einweisung wurden wir mit Poncho und Schwimmweste ausgestattet und fuhren raus aufs Meer. Es waren viele Delfine vor Ort und wir bekamen Einiges zu sehen. Anschließend ging es mit Highspeed in einem großen Bogen entlang der Küste zurück zum Hafen.

The whole experience was excellent and the staff were amazing and very funny. They were also extremely knowledgeable and helpful and knew where to go so we could see the whales and dolphins. Would really recommend it

Der Ablauf der Tour war sehr gut organisiert. Vorab gab es eine Einführung in die Sicherheit und das Verhalten auf dem Meer. Bei der Fahrt selber haben wir Glück gehabt und Delfine und 1 Familie von Kurzflossen Grindwalen gesehen. Das einzige Manko war die Rückfahrt vom Meer zurück zum Hafen. Der Skipper hat sich beeilt um zurück zu fahren, und nahm leider nicht unbedingt Rücksicht auf die Wellen und das "Abfedern der Stösse".

Ein großartiges Erlebnis mit dem gebührenden Respekt für die Delphine. Mit Florine und Rúben hatten wir ein fantastisches Team. Wir sind zwei Schulen von Pilotwalen begegnet. Durch das flachliegende Speedboot waren die Delphine ganz nah. Breathtaking. Ein wirklich sanft

Super ervaring! Dit was mijn eerste keer dolfijnen en walvissen spotten. We hebben veel dolfijnen gezien en een hele leuke, mooie en avontuurlijke reis op het water gehad. Echt de moeite waard! Vooral omdat je met een kleiner gezelschap op de speedboat zit, je hebt zo meer contact hebt met de zee en meer zicht op de dieren.

Amazing experience, it is definitely better on this kind of boat instead of big catamarans. It was a small group of 12 people. We've seen both dolphins and whales. The marine biologist explained a lot about the species we encountered.Totally recommend!
