What to expect
During this tour, you'll travel on a full-day tour of Argolis's historic past. This excursion will take you from Athens to the Peloponnese, to encounter a glorious past praised by Homer. The first stop will be the Corinth Canal, which connects the Corinthian Gulf in the Ionian Sea with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. After crossing the canal we will arrive at Mycenae, homeland of King Agamemnon, hero of the Iliad who rallied the Greek armies against Troy. You will have the opportunity to wander through the remains of the prosperous city that dominated southern Greece during the late Bronze Age. We will make a stop at a traditional Greek tavern to regain energy and head to the city of Nafplio, the first Greek capital with a fascinating history from prehistoric times to the Greek revolution of the 19th century. There you will have a walking tour with our guide, you will learn and see important things concerning this region. You will have some free time to walk and enjoy the beautiful corners of the place before returning to Athens.
