Completed in 1248, three-quarters of the building consists of stained glass dating from the 13th Century. What to remember
To access the audio-guided tour, you will have to download the App on your phone. After booking, you will receive an SMS with a direct download link for the app and audio guide.
This is a self-guided tour, there is no tour guide that meets you at the start location
The security check is mandatory for all visitors
Big bags and suitcases aren't allowed inside and there are no lockers available
A security perimeter is set up around Île de la Cité from Monday to Friday
From the right bank via Pont au Change/Châtelet - you must go through a pre-screening, with a ticket, at the Tour de l'Horloge
From the left bank via Pont Saint Michel - you must go through a pre-screening, with a ticket, at the Quai des Orfèvres/Bd du Palais
Visitors to the Sainte-Chapelle will have a dedicated line. The Cité metro station remains open. Then, you will be able to access the monuments through the usual address where a second check will happen to enter the monument
On weekends, public holidays, Christmas holidays, access to the monuments will be via the usual address
