A way to make the most of Venice's transport service
What to expect
The Alilaguna navigation network is made up of five lines that connect the Marco Polo Airport to the center of Venice, along with Lido and Murano. You can choose between a one-way or roundtrip ticket.Alilaguna lines:
- BLUE LINE: Marco Polo Airport - Murano Colonna - Fondamente Nove - Hospital - Basins - Lido Santa Maria Elisabetta - Arsenale - San Zaccaria Jolanda - Piazza San Marco - Zattere - Giudecca Hotel Hilton Molino Stucky - Maritime Station or vice versa
- ORANGE LINE: Marco Polo Airport - Fondamenta Nuove - Madonna dell'Orto - Guglie (Railway) - San Stae - Rialto - Sant'Angelo - Ca' Rezzonico - Santa Maria del Giglio - Piazza San Marco or vice versa
- RED LINE: Marco Polo Airport - Murano Museum - Lido Santa Maria Elisabetta - Giudecca Zitelle or vice versa (seasonal line, operates from April to November)

What to remember
Know in advance:
ATTENTION: please note that on some days between 18 April 2025 and 27 July 2025, every visitor to Venice is required to pay, directly to the City of Venice, a contribution to access, except for the different exclusions. For dates, payment methods, to benefit from exemptions, and for all related information, please check the official website for the Venice Access Fee. Please pay the Access Fee online before attending the tour
Voucher purchases must be used within 24 months from the date of purchase. Users in possession of reservation vouchers are obliged to convert them to a regular ticket at the Alilaguna S.p.A. ticket offices as described in the travel documents
Validate your ticket before boarding Alilaguna vehicles. Tickets can be used on every Alilaguna line. Return tickets also entitle you to a return journey within 30 days of validation of the outward journey. To use the return leg of the journey, the ticket must be reissued within this period of time
Once in possession of the ticket, and before boarding, the user is required to validate it with the appropriate stamping machines. When these are not present or not working, the user is responsible for presenting the ticket to the inspectors or crew
The ticket must be kept for the entire route, once stamped it is not transferable from one user to another and must be shown at the request of Alilaguna staff or other personnel with a regular identification document

I am happy I was able to secure transportation from the airport to the island prior to arriving. I am just a little unsure as to where we go when we get there. I am not anticipating any problems and your website was easy to navigate. I was charged a service fee, which I wasn't expecting.

Easy to follow instructions from the airport but the water taxi was very full. It takes about 75 mins to get to St Marks Square so allow time. Reasonable cost and would use this again.

Leuk met mooi weer, opletten gezien specifieke haltes. Kan me inbeelden dat je in de zomer lang moet wachten. Wij zijn tijdens de krokusvakantie geweest en er stond wel een rij achter ons die niet mee konden met 1 boot, dus dan makkelijk 40min wachten. Bootrit zelf is comfortabel maar je ziet weinig, raampjes ook niet heel proper indien je foto’s wil nemen. Voor ons prima want al meerdere keren in Venetië geweest. Terugkeer niet genomen want je verliest teveel tijd. Dan is taxi handiger.

Le concept d'acheter des tickets en ligne pour prendre le Vaporetto, c'est bien, mais le fait qu'il faille ensuite faire valider son ticket auprès d'un guichet, ce n'est pas du tout pratique, sachant qu'il n'y a pas de guichet à l'embarcadère de Venise.

We, and Many other people waited a Really Long Time to board when there were boats and deck hands and the captain there.I mean probably over an hour in the heat. Probably 50 people in line with us. Not sure why. The guys were just standing there and not communicating anything to us. Taxi next time.

Schöne Möglichkeit vom Flughafen in die Lagune zu fahren.
Der Weg vom Flughafen zur Anlegestelle ist etwas weit, kann aber geschafft werden.
Die Boote sind nicht schlecht, allerdings ist die Aussicht nicht auf allen Plätzen gut, da die Fenster zu hoch sind.
Sonst hat alles super geklappt.
